It is not always easy to put into words what we are going through. A period of change, relationship difficulties, a feeling of unease, or simply the sense of no longer knowing how to move forward can all be reasons to seek psychological support.

As a clinical psychologist with a master’s degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), I welcome children, adolescents and adults at Centre de l’Hirondelle (Schaerbeek) and Ma Bulle Magique (Forest).

My approach is integrative. My initial training was rooted in psychoanalytic theory, and I now enrich my practice with concepts from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and systemic approaches. In practice, this means that I take into account each person’s history, explore ways of addressing the difficulties they may be experiencing in their everyday life, and consider the place they occupy within their family and wider environment.

I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space where everyone can move at their own pace and find room to understand what they are going through.

For children and adolescents:

I adapt to their age and way of communicating, using play, drawing, stories and conversation. The aim is to help them express what is troubling them, even when they do not yet have the words to describe it.

Parents can also be seen, either with or without their child, when this may be helpful.

For adults:

I support people experiencing a range of difficulties and periods of questioning that may arise in their personal, family or professional lives, including difficulties related to work, relationships, parenthood, grief or trauma.

You do not need to have a specific difficulty or a diagnosis to seek psychological support. A consultation can also provide an opportunity to take a step back, better understand what you are feeling, and reflect on how you would like to move forward.

Some examples of reasons for consultation include:

· Sadness, low mood, depression

· Anxiety, stress, racing or repetitive thoughts

· Low self-confidence or self-esteem

· Difficulties in relationships, family life or at work

· Grief, break-ups and separation

· Past or recent trauma

· Supporting a child who is struggling

· Burnout and exhaustion
