Psychologue clinicienne, j’ai auparavant été formée en soins infirmiers et ai exercé en psychiatrie. Ce parcours me permet aujourd’hui d’allier ma connaissance du milieu médical à une approche psychologique attentive à la personne dans sa globalité.

Je travaille actuellement à l’Institut Jules Bordet, où j’accompagne en consultation ambulatoire des personnes confrontées au cancer ainsi que leurs proches. En parallèle, je propose des consultations au sein du cabinet multidisciplinaire Aequilibrium, notamment autour de la maladie, du deuil et des épreuves de vie.

Je suis actuellement en cours de formation en psycho-oncologie et me forme également à l’EMDR.

Dans mes accompagnements, je veille avant tout à offrir un espace bienveillant et sécurisant, où chacun peut déposer ce qu’il traverse, exprimer ses émotions et avancer à son propre rythme. Mon approche s’adapte à chaque personne, à son vécu et à ses besoins.

Les consultations peuvent se dérouler en français, en néerlandais ou en anglais. Je suis par ailleurs membre de la Commission des Psychologues.

C’était la première fois que je consultais une psychologue, car j’ai toujours eu tendance à porter seul le poids de la protection de mes proches, sans vouloir les inquiéter avec mes états d’âme. Pouvoir me confier librement, sans jugement ni appréhension, est particulièrement apaisant et salvateur. Mme Stoomer fait preuve d’un grand professionnalisme, et les échanges avec elle sont très agréables.
