In my practice in Brussels I receive adults for individual therapy. The issues with which I work the most are addictions, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, migratory grief of expats, stress, as well as problems of couple, sexuality, and problems related to the acceptance of sexual orientation and gender identity (LGBTIQ+).

Psychotherapy is a very useful tool for people suffering from depression, anxiety or worry over a prolonged period of time, by people who see that they have problems that are affecting their physical and emotional well-being or people who do not see themselves capable of facing an event such as a new job, a divorce or mourning for the loss of a family member.

Première séance de psy aujourd’hui. J’appréhendais un peu… Ce n’est pas évident d’aller se livrer à un inconnu, de se poser et d’oser dire les choses. Mais j’ai été agréablement surprise. La séance s’est déroulée naturellement, sans forcer. Je me suis sentie écoutée, en sécurité. C’était un premier pas pas évident, mais nécessaire. Et je suis fière de l’avoir fait.

Cela fait maintenant plus d’un an que je suis accompagnée par Joel, et je ressens aujourd’hui le besoin de le remercier publiquement. Son écoute, toujours juste, sa bienveillance sans jugement, et sa capacité à créer un espace sûr m’ont permis d’avancer à mon rythme, en profondeur, et parfois là où je ne pensais même pas pouvoir aller. Joël est un professionnel remarquable, humain, apaisant, respectueux… et il faut bien l’avouer, son charisme naturel ajoute une touche agréable à chaque séance 😉 Ce suivi a été (et continue d’être) un vrai tournant pour moi.
