Astrid de Bellefroid has been a professional physiotherapist since 2009. She studied at the Catholic University of Louvain and holds a master's degree in physiotherapy. She completed a dissertation on neurology, and the place of the object in neurological rehabilitation of the upper limb. She also worked in a medical center and in a private practice, in Berlin. Having obtained a master's degree in physical education at the Free University of Brussels, I naturally moved towards physiotherapy and rehabilitation, a discipline in which I graduated in 2022. While working, I undertook a specialization master's degree in sports physiotherapy in order to combine the two professions. This concluded positively in 2023. The different skills acquired allow me, if necessary, to offer my patients a specific rehabilitation program. Dynamic and attentive, I also take care of different types of pathology: orthopedics, traumatology, cardio-respiratory revalidation, geriatrics, neurology, etc.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Physiotherapy and a Master’s degree from KU Leuven, where I specialize in Rehabilitation Science with a focus on Manual Therapy for Spinal Disorders and Chronic Pain Rehabilitation. I am currently a candidate for the European Diploma in Pain Physiotherapy.

Additionally, I am a research assistant at Pain in Motion and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where I contribute to chronic pain research. I focus on the biopsychosocial factors and personalize my therapeutic plan depending on the needs of the patient.
