I have a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology from the ULB with a specialization in parenting support from the UCL. Using an integrative approach that reconciles psychoanalysis, behavioral and humanistic therapies, I propose that we work together in the understanding and resolution of problematic situations. Understanding the conceptual and cultural framework of others is the basis of the work I propose to undertake. Having worked in Latin America and practicing with expatriates, I attach particular importance to language, which can bring valuable subtleties to the therapeutic work. I receive in French as well as in Portuguese. The modalities and rhythm of the sessions will be determined during the first meetings where we will be able to identify the nature of the problem. I receive clients at the Mimosa Center in Brussels on Mondays and Saturdays for individual, family or couple counselling. My consultations are aimed at teenagers, adults and elderly people to whom I offer home follow-ups if necessary. During my studies in Psychology at the University of Liege, I was mainly interested in cognitive and behavioral psychology as well as in neuropsychology. These studies now form the basis of my practice with an adult population. Afterwards, while working, I continued to learn and train. Among others, I continued to learn about motivational interviewing, ACT therapy, mindfulness, psycho-education, ... As for my professional career, after several years of expertise for the justice system and work on addictions as a psychologist, my skills as a neuropsychologist have allowed me to focus on supporting people suffering from Alzheimer's disease (or another disease of the same type) as well as their loved ones and professionals in the field. At present, with the benefit of these varied experiences, I can offer you a tailor-made accompaniment, according to your needs.
