J'interviens dans la prise en charge des pathologies musculo-squelettiques, orthopédiques et traumatologiques, qu'il s'agisse de douleurs lombaires et cervicales, d'entorses, de pathologies de l'épaule et du genou, de rééducation post-opératoire ou encore de troubles touchant le poignet et la main.

Mon expérience me permet également d'accompagner les patients atteints de pathologies rhumatismales telles que la spondylarthrite ankylosante, la polyarthrite rhumatoïde ou la fibromyalgie, ainsi que ceux souffrant d'affections neurologiques, notamment la sclérose en plaques, la maladie de Parkinson, les suites d'AVC, la myasthénie, la maladie de Huntington ou encore les polyneuropathies. Je prends également en charge les troubles respiratoires, aussi bien chez l'adulte que chez l'enfant.

En complément de ces domaines, je me suis formée et spécialisée dans le traitement des lymphœdèmes ainsi que dans la prise en charge des cervicalgies et des troubles de l'articulation temporo-mandibulaire (ATM). Ma formation en kinésithérapie HMTC me permet d'intervenir sur des problématiques telles que les migraines, céphalées, vertiges, acouphènes, algies de la face et perturbations maxillo-faciales.

Graduated with distinction from HELB in physiotherapy, I have been passionate about this profession since I was very young. My academic career has been enriched by numerous internships in various healthcare environments, notably in nursing homes, hospitals and in physiotherapy practices. I like human contact, whether with children, adults or the elderly. I quickly discovered my passion for end-of-life support and pediatrics and I aspire to specialize in these areas to bring a more rigorous approach and greater comfort to my practice. I worked for 3 years in Portugal as a physiotherapist and I used that time to invest as much as I could in courses so that I could provide quality treatments to my patients. 

My main goal is to continue investing in gaining more and more knowledge so that I can apply it in my clinical practice. I'm a big fan of quality treatments and good follow-up with patients. That makes all the difference to the patient's progress.

I'm very involved in the musculoskeletal area and for this reason I treat pathologies such as back, shoulder, elbow, knee pain, I work a lot on post-operative rehabilitation and also with tendonitis, bursitis and calcifications.

I love doing treatments that involve acupuncture because I really like the quick and long-lasting results, and acupuncture allows me to do that. That's why I really enjoy combining my knowledge of physiotherapy with my knowledge of acupuncture (traditional Chinese medicine).

Je suis un jeune kinésithérapeute diplômé, passionné par les sciences et les sports de force. Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996.
