Gabriele Giunta

Dr. Gabriele Giunta is a certified surgeon in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery (INAMI number 1-19461-43-210) and member of the Royal Belgian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. In 2012, he obtained his medical degree from the University of Palermo (Italy). In 2018 he graduated in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the same University of Palermo. Dr. Giunta has received intensive education in his sector of activity both in Italy and abroad. Indeed, during his studies, he had different international experiences in order to enrich his knowledge: Plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic surgery, hand surgery and microsurgery at the University Hospital Center ( University Hospital) – SOS Mains de Bordeaux (France). Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at the Universität de Zürich (Switzerland) Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel (UZ) (Brussels). During his academic career, Dr. Giunta developed a very marked interest in breast and lower limb reconstruction as well as head and neck reconstruction. In addition to his expertise in reconstruction, he has also developed a very strong interest in cosmetic surgery of the breast, stomach, body and face and in aesthetic medicine (injection of fillers, botulinum toxin, etc.). In 2019, he passed the Ebopras (European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) exam and became a Fellow of this Society (Febropras). That same year, he joined the clinical team of the Plastic Surgery department of UZ Brussel, under the direction of Prof. Mr. Hamdi in which he currently serves as a member of the permanent staff. Since 2021, he has worked at CHIREC-DELTA hospital as a consultant plastic surgeon. Dr. Giunta is also the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications and books in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
