Depuis toujours lié au corps, en premier temps en tant que Préparateur Physique dans différents domaines, puis du côté des soins de santé avec une vision du "corps en mouvement" (on est fait pour bouger).

L'importance d'une bonne anamnèse, d'une bonne réflexion autour de la personne, des problèmes qui se présentent, et bien comprendre le tout pour une meilleure prise en charge fait partie des priorités dans la prise en charge, pas seulement soulager, sinon essayer de trouver le problème de base (d'origine) et d'essayer de l'enlever et/ou le corriger.

Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor. He also practiced at the osteoarticular center of the Antoine Depage Clinic where he gained the trust of several patients. With 14 years experience as a physiotherapist at the foot of the Austrian mountains, I have now decided to continue my work in Belgium. 

I've continually developed and trained in the field of orthopaedics, surgery and traumatology.

I am specialised in manual therapy, sports physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage. 

I'm passionate about my work and want to use my knowledge and expertise to support and guide you in your rehabilitation. 

I'm fluent in German and English and have a good level of French, which I'm improving on a daily basis.

I welcome you to the Maison Médicale Borlée, a well-equipped multidisciplinary center. Graduated from Parnasse in 2017, I specialized very early in neurology. After one and a half years of practice and home in Brussels, I had the chance to work one year in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center in Paris. I am now working in the psychiatric department of the Cliniques de l'Europe in addition to my independent activity. I have an approach that focuses on the individual as a whole. I will be very happy to receive you for any type of pathology. Nevertheless, I am specialized in neurology, psycho-somatic physiotherapy and chronic pathologies. I also consult at home.

Petra Remetean is a physical therapist practicing at Clinic 53. She graduated in physical therapy at KU Leuven in 2014. She is specialized in sports injuries, rehabilitation, back and joint problems. She welcomes you on Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm to 7pm at Clinic 53.
