Hi, I am 36 years old male. I had L5-S1 surgery to remove the disc 5 years ago. I am having pain again in lower back and my legs since last 4-5 days.. I am resting but would like to know if it can be something serious. Should I go for MRI and diagnosis again or it is normal to have such episodes knowing the medical condition I have. Will I be normal again to live normal life ? Thanks in advance for Guidance
Hello, are both legs pain equal and/or symetric? How far does the pain go in your legs ? Does it cross the knees ? When the pain in your legs is triggered, how is the pain in your back? What do you do for a living and do you have any sport activities? Do you feel any weakness in your legs (loss of strength) ?After surgery, did you do physiotherapy?
As a physiotherapist, we do a first assessment during which we evaluate if you have any risk of suffering from something serious based on your symptoms and their localisation. Then we assess your back's mobility and related pain. Then we try to change your symptoms with movement and according t...o how your pain reacts, we can evaluate if physiotherapy is indicated or not.
Depending on the confidence you have in your surgeon and/or your physiotherapist, I suggest you call them back to assess your coming back symptoms and what you could do about it. Read more
Hello, some years ago i bumped inwards part of Knees together and it was ok after some weeks but now whenever i pull up my lower back i feel a sensation no pain necessarily but i don't understand what it is? Should i see physiotherapist?
Hello, how did happen the trauma? (did you fell?, did you slip?) Are both knees painfull or only one? Is the pain gone? What does produce your pain? I don't really understand what you mean by "pull up my lower back" but moving your back shouldn't produce anything in your knees (depending on the mouvement you are doing obviously). It is possible that the problem occurs in your back rather then your knee(s). I suggest you to visit a doctor or a physiotherapist to investigate if the pain still occurs.
Hello, my shoulder is about a few centimeters out of place since i landed on it strangely. My question is how serious this can be since I still have full range of motion although it does feel unstable in certain positions when I do sports and which doctor I need to see to put it back into place.
Hello. If your you shoulder has not lose any range of motion, you probably didn't dislocate your shoulder. It might be a subluxation tho: you shoulder went out of place then immediately got back to place again. I suggest you to visit to your doctor. He will exam you and juge if an x-ray is necessary. If your shoulder feels unstable and/or painfull, you may need physiotherapist sessions to make a check up and get appropriate exercices based on your assessment. Feel free to contact me by email if you have more question.
