Mon parcours J'ai grandi les pieds dans la Méditerranée. J'ai quitté le sud de la France pour faire mes études à Bruxelles. Mon premier grand voyage. Et quel voyage ! Mon diplôme en poche en 2005, après quelques remplacements de sage-femme dans les hôpitaux en France, je décide de partir visiter l'Inde, en sac à dos. J'y rejoins une sage-femme indienne dans un petit village du Karnataka au sud de l'Inde. Pendant plusieurs semaines, je l'observe...j'apprend... j'écoute... J'ai commencé alors à développer une finesse d'observation clinique. Etre au « milieu de nulle part », sans laboratoire d'analyse, sans échographie et sans monitoring foetal obligent une adaptation sans concession : utiliser ses yeux, ses oreilles, ses mains, sentir les odeurs. Des sens que j'avais oublié dans mon Occident natal suite à la bienheureuse aisance d’accès de la science médicale. Mon chemin m'amènera à la rencontre de quasi toute l'Inde et le Népal. Je rentre ainsi en Belgique, le coeur remplit d'étoiles pour commencer à travailler en hospitalier comme sage-femme.
