Je suis également masseur sportif, et j’intègre dans ma pratique des techniques comme les ventouses (chinoises), le dry-needling et l’approche tissulaire de l’ostéopathie.

Following a 7-year stay abroad where I gained a lot of experience in a diversity of fields of osteopathy, I recently moved back to Belgium to be closer to family. Through the years, I discovered an interest in treating newborns and toddlers (digestive issues at birth, postural restrictions following birth, sleeping problems, growing pains,...). Other than within my private practice, I gained experience working with young children through collaboration with pediatric osteopaths while regularly volunteering to offer treatments to underpriviledged children. On top of my intrest in treating young children, I have also treated a wide range of patients, from elite athletes (pains linked to training, strains/sprains,...) to chronic pains (lower back pain, migraines, stress management,...). During my stay abroad, I have continually followed courses in visceral osteopathy which gives me an intimate knowledge about the links between the visceral and skeletal systems. There is no pain whose cause is obvious and immediately attributable to a localized dysfunction. Often the origin of the pain is to be found in areas other than those affected. For example, a common backache may result from excessive fatigue in the foot or a malfunctioning jaw. Similarly, would you ever have imagined that overloading the intestines can induce headaches? Our body is a machine with complex gears and countless transmission belts. Being able to find the right key to interpret when the warning light of pain turns on, identifying its origin, looking at the patient in all his complexity, and being able to guarantee him lasting benefit are the greatest satisfaction that this work can give me.

Holder of a D.O in osteopathy obtained with Great Distinction, Jean-Philippe ORMOND completed his 6 years of studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He practices a medical osteopathy which mainly addresses dysfunctions of the locomotor system and the peripheral nervous system but also digestive or jaw problems. He treats adults, pregnant women, athletes, the elderly and children (but not babies). Passionate about the biomechanics of the body as well as human anatomy, he has coached young students at the University in order to prepare them for their exams. Approved by the Belgian mutualities.
