A graduate of the Haute École Ilya Prigogine, I acquired solid experience in physiotherapy during my academic career. I have worked in various fields, such as sport, psychiatry, neurology, as well as in the treatment of general pathologies frequently encountered by physiotherapists. My final thesis focused on injuries among CrossFit practitioners. Today, as a physiotherapist, I am proud to serve at the Care Happy Center and the Molière Hospital. Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. Diplômé de l’ISEK et animé par une passion pour la kiné, j’ai développé une expertise diversifiée englobant la kiné générale, les douleurs musculo-squelettiques, la kiné sportive, la rééducation pré et post-opératoire, le drainage lymphatique manuel ainsi que la cupping therapy (hijama). Grâce à une formation solide, une pratique assidue et une volonté constante de me perfectionner, je m’efforce de proposer des soins alliant efficacité et innovation, en phase avec les évolutions de la profession.

Titulaire d’un Master en Kinésithérapie de la Haute École de Bruxelles HE2B ISEK, j’ai eu l’opportunité d’effectuer de nombreux stages enrichissants dans divers domaines de la rééducation, tels que la revalidation orthopédique, le service ambulatoire, la rééducation cardio-respiratoire, la gériatrie, ainsi que la neurologie adulte et pédiatrique.

Ces expériences m'ont permis de développer une approche globale et personnalisée pour chaque patient. Passionnée par la prise en charge des douleurs chroniques, des lombalgies, des affections musculo-squelettiques et de la traumatologie, je m'efforce de toujours proposer un traitement adapté et ciblé pour répondre aux besoins spécifiques de mes patients.

Souhaitant constamment élargir mes compétences, mon objectif professionnel est de me former régulièrement dans des techniques avancées, telle que la thérapie manuelle, le dry needling, le crochetage et la fasciathérapie dans le but d'offrir une prise en charge de plus en plus complète et moderne.
