As a passionate general practitioner, I welcome you with pleasure from Monday to Friday at the Espace Médical Waterloo. Visits at home or in a nursing home are possible (if it is difficult to travel). I am and will remain a member of the medical profession. It is important that a consultation with a GP takes place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust (guaranteed by medical confidentiality). A general practitioner is able to treat 95% of patients' complaints but will not hesitate, if necessary, to refer you to a specialist (cardiologist, pediatrician,...) while continuing to be your health reference person. Most of the time, we go to our family doctor because we are sick and would like to be relieved or cured. However, an essential part of our mission as general practitioners is also to keep you healthy! We all know the old adage: "prevention is better than cure". In the medical world, we call this "prevention". We start by making sure that you are up to date on your vaccinations and any screening that may be required (e.g. breast, colon or prostate cancer). Solutions will be found together so that you can live the healthiest life possible by addressing topics such as a balanced diet, smoking and alcohol cessation, and sports activities. Prevention can be found in a multitude of other forms that depend on each patient: contraception, risks related to the presence of pesticides and endocrine disruptors, maintaining the elderly at home, ... Another important aspect of prevention is that I am continually training in medicine to ensure the rational use of drugs and medical imaging. Je suis le Dr Garcia, médecin généraliste, né à Saint-Domingue, en République dominicaine, où j'ai suivi ma formation médicale à l'Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo (UASD). Spécialisation en médecine familiale à l'UB au Barcelone et à l'Institut catalan de la santé en 2011, dans lequel j'ai passé 12 ans d'expérience l'ICDS en tant que généraliste, à partir de 2019 Gériatrie dans le service de réadaptation en Belgique. Je suis un médecin empathique, engagé et responsable avec chacun de mes patients.  

Médecin généraliste à Bruxelles, diplômée en ECG et certifiée ONE. Je propose un suivi complet pour adultes et enfants, réalise des petites chirurgies et des tests de dépistage, avec une prise en charge centrée sur le patient, son suivi global et surtout la prévention.

Je suis diplômée en soins infirmiers depuis 2022 et sage-femme depuis 2025.

Depuis 2021, j’ai également acquis une expérience professionnelle en maison médicale, où j’ai exercé en tant qu’infirmière. Cette pratique m’a permis de développer mes compétences en soins de proximité, suivi de patients chroniques et accompagnement global des familles.

Lors de ma dernière année d’études d’infirmière, j’ai eu la chance de vivre une expérience marquante à Cusco, au Pérou, où j’ai découvert une autre culture et le monde fascinant de l’obstétrique.

De retour en Belgique, cette expérience m’a profondément inspirée et m’a conduite à reprendre des études de sage-femme, afin de compléter ma pratique infirmière et d’accompagner les femmes et les familles de manière plus globale.

J’ai également eu l’opportunité de découvrir la pratique de la sage-femme en Martinique, ce qui m’a permis d’enrichir ma vision du soin et d’affiner mon approche interculturelle de la maternité.
