I consult every Monday afternoon from 1pm to 6pm at Rue de Tenbosch 85, office n°4. My main objective is to provide psychological support to my patients, using attentive and empathetic listening.

In my practice in Brussels I receive adults for individual therapy. The issues with which I work the most are addictions, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, migratory grief of expats, stress, as well as problems of couple, sexuality, and problems related to the acceptance of sexual orientation and gender identity (LGBTIQ+). Psychotherapy is a very useful tool for people suffering from depression, anxiety or worry over a prolonged period of time, by people who see that they have problems that are affecting their physical and emotional well-being or people who do not see themselves capable of facing an event such as a new job, a divorce or mourning for the loss of a family member.

I have a degree in Psychological and Pedagogical Sciences (ULB-1994), and I completed my university career with a Certificate in Psychotherapeutic Clinics (ULB-1995). In order to be able to respond in a personalized and efficient way to requests, I continued to train myself in the tools of brief therapy both for individual sessions (LPNL, hypnosis, EFT, logosynthesis, ..) and for couple sessions (positive psycho-sexology).

Laura Pereira Moita is an adult clinical psychologist, trained in psychotraumatology. As a psychologist, I have decided to focus my practice on both the assessment and management of young adults, adults and the elderly. Psychological and neuropsychological assessments can be requested and performed for diagnostic purposes. Assessment of cognitive functions (memory, attentional functions, executive functions, language, etc.) is usually considered following a head injury, when a degenerative disease is suspected or in the context of other neurological pathologies. I also perform IQ assessments in the context of logopedic reimbursements and suspicion of high potential or mental retardation. These psychological and neuropsychological assessments can also be performed in the context of psychological expertises. Ma pratique est « intégrative » : je m’appuie sur le courant systémique et l’approche humaniste, tout en y ajoutant des outils TCCE et de l’hypnose en fonction de vos besoins. Je travaille également beaucoup avec les émotions, la thérapie ACT et différents médias (livre, image, vidéo, métaphore, Dixit, ...).

Le principe essentiel dans ma rencontre avec vous est la co-construction : vous êtes le mieux placé pour savoir ce que vous vivez et ressentez et je me positionne comme une aide à votre propre exploration. Je vois mon métier comme l’accompagnement de mes patients dans la compréhension et l’appropriation de leur existence, ainsi que dans leurs propres transformations. C’est pourquoi une séance avec moi est un véritable échange et non pas une discussion à sens unique.

Mes domaines de prédilection sont les questions existentielles, le rapport aux autres, la gestion des émotions, l’assertivité et confiance en soi ainsi que les troubles de l'humeur et le burnout professionnel.
