Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. Graduated with a master's degree in physiotherapy at ISEK in 2018, I specialize in sports physiotherapy, ortho-traumatology, hand/wrist. I am a licensed physiotherapist (this means that the price of the session is higher than the price of the INAMI and therefore the reimbursement will be lower). With a master's degree in physical therapy and rehabilitation in 2012 at UCLouvain, I also trained in sports physical therapy, manual therapy and ortho-kinesis. I can help you to get rid of a crookedness problem or to perform electrotherapy, tecartherapy or lymphatic drainage. I also provide shockwave and ultrasound treatments. I welcome you to the Maison Médicale Borlée, a well-equipped multidisciplinary center. Graduated from Parnasse in 2017, I specialized very early in neurology. After one and a half years of practice and home in Brussels, I had the chance to work one year in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center in Paris. I am now working in the psychiatric department of the Cliniques de l'Europe in addition to my independent activity. I have an approach that focuses on the individual as a whole. I will be very happy to receive you for any type of pathology. Nevertheless, I am specialized in neurology, psycho-somatic physiotherapy and chronic pathologies. I also consult at home.

Curious to understand the functioning of the human body and passionate about manual medicine, I completed a 6-year course at the Université Libre de Bruxelles before obtaining my osteopathic diploma. Today, I consult in several multidisciplinary practices in Brussels where I ensure a precise, gentle and patient-friendly treatment. As an osteopath, and in a general way, I am interested in musculo-articular pains as well as in their relief by the hand and by the movement. I am particularly interested in the treatment of pregnant women, the jaw joint and its relationship with the cervical spine, and acute situations such as torticollis or lumbago.

Diplômé en kinésithérapie générale en 2022, j'ai poursuivi ma formation par un master de spécialisation en douleurs musculo-squelettiques à l’Université catholique de Louvain, ce qui m’a permis de développer une expertise approfondie dans l’évaluation et la prise en charge des troubles musculo-squelettiques. 

J’ai également approfondi mes compétences grâce à une formation organisée par l’Université de Montréal sur le raisonnement clinique me donnant les outils nécessaires pour analyser de manière rigoureuse chaque problématique. J'accorde donc une importance capitale au bilan clinique réalisé lors de la première séance !

Je suis spécialisé plus particulièrement dans les douleurs du dos, des hanches et des genoux, ainsi que dans la rééducation des blessures sportive.

Mon approche combine des techniques manuelles, des exercices spécifiques et de l'éducation thérapeutique, afin de soulager la douleur, restaurer la fonction et éviter les récidives.

Sportif amateur, j’ai pratiqué différents sports tels que la course à pied, le beach-volley, le football, la natation et le tennis.
