Depuis deux ans, j’assure le suivi de l’équipe première féminine de rugby à XV du Boitsfort Rugby Club. Cette expérience m’a permis de développer une approche centrée sur la prévention des blessures et sur la performance athlétique. 

Mes traitements reposent sur le mouvement et la compréhension des symptômes afin de vous rendre acteur de votre rééducation. Ensemble, nous travaillerons pour vous permettre d’acquérir les outils nécessaires à votre autonomie et à un rétablissement durable. Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor. For athletes, my experience in the field will also help you to return to competition in the best conditions. I am available at the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 4pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Diplômé de l'UCLouvain, j'ai continué à me former dans le domaine du sport en réalisant le Certificat Inter-Universitaire en kinésithérapie sportive à l'UCL . Passionné par la kinésithérapie sportive, je suis différentes équipes de rugby depuis plus de 5 ans, que ce soit au niveau national ou international.

Je vous accompagne durant toute la durée de votre pathologie, quelle soit du cadre sportif ou non, en mettant un accent sur l'aspect fonctionnel de votre rééducation afin de vous rendre votre autonomie au plus vite.

Graduated with a master's degree in physiotherapy at ISEK in 2018, I specialize in sports physiotherapy, ortho-traumatology, hand/wrist. The treatments offered are mainly active, attentive to patients and personalized according to your needs. I am a licensed physiotherapist (this means that the price of the session is higher than the price of the INAMI and therefore the reimbursement will be lower). For VIPO/BIM people, the rates and reimbursements will be those of INAMI.
