Physiotherapists for Rééducation

As a physical therapist, my goal is to help the person as much as possible in their rehabilitation. The work is always done according to the needs and objectives of the patient. The treatment is based on a precise analysis of the problem in order to treat the pathology at its source, and the patient is always active in his rehabilitation.

I have a Master's degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation from the ULB with Great Distinction and I practice general physiotherapy. I am therefore able to provide you with care and to accompany you in your rehabilitation: orthopedic, geriatric, cardiological or neurological. For athletes, my experience in the field will also help you to return to competition in the best conditions. I am available at the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 4pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. As a general physiotherapist, I treat musculoskeletal pain (cervical, back, hand, wrist as well as hip, knee or ankle problems). I also treat low back pain. I receive my patients in Brussels at the Medical Center Europe-Schuman on Mondays and Wednesdays and at the Ambiorix21 Center (Square Ambiorix21 1000 Brussels) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor. He also practiced at the osteoarticular center of the Antoine Depage Clinic where he gained the trust of several patients. Today, physiotherapist Michel Schoonjans welcomes you in his own practice in Uccle. You can also find him at City Clinic in the city of Ixelles. He is specialized in general and sports trauma rehabilitation, in Sohier method analytical kinesiology and in lymphatic drainage. The average duration of an appointment with physiotherapist Michel Schoonjans is 30 minutes and these are self-confirmed.

Graduated in 2016 in France, I worked for 6 years in the Nantes region. I then moved to Brussels in 2022 where I signed a contract. I practice active care adapted in particular to musculoskeletal problems (back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, etc.) and pathologies linked to sport and activity. My goal is to empower patients as much as possible by adapting to them and their pathology by supporting them during their rehabilitation. I have completed different training courses since my diploma: Mckenzie part A, Mulligan upper quadrant, Mulligan lower quadrant, Jo GIBSON, Neurodynamics.

Pour une prise en charge globale de votre pathologie, je dispose d’un cabinet ainsi que d'un accès au plateau technique équipé. 

En parallèle, j’exerce à l’hôpital Erasme, ce qui me permet d’avoir en plus de la rééducation fonctionnelle, une expérience en kinésithérapie respiratoire ainsi qu’en revalidation.

Diplômée de l'Université de Liège en 2006, je me forme régulièrement afin de vous garantir les meilleurs soins. Je me suis notamment spécialisée dans les Chaînes Musculaires Physiologiques (Busquet) ainsi qu'en Thérapie Manuelle Analytique afin de soigner mon patient dans sa globalité. Particulièrement intéressée par la prise en charge du dos (opéré ou non opéré), je suis également à l'aise dans le domaine de l'orthopédie, traumatologie ainsi que dans les rééducations post-opératoires. Convaincue par le bienfait de l'activité physique à tout âge, je propose également des cours de gymnastique douce. Souriante, à l'écoute et ponctuelle, je vous reçois au centre HexaClinic dans une ambiance chaleureuse, le lundi après-midi et soirée, le mardi après-midi, le mercredi matin et le jeudi après midi.
