Le Dr Louis Smits est chirurgien viscéral et digestif, spécialisé en chirurgie mini-invasive, notamment par laparoscopie, une approche chirurgicale moins agressive qui réduit les douleurs postopératoires et permet une récupération plus rapide pour le patient.

He has also done various academic research such as those on gait biomechanics and orthopedic surgical approaches, which has allowed him to further his education. He has followed a course of continuing education in manual therapy and specializes in the field of sports physiotherapy and offers you a hollistic and complete treatment of your pathology. He is a specialist in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports physiotherapy and general physiotherapy (orthopedics, traumatology, rheumatology, cardiovascular, post-operative, adult respi, etc.). He has specific techniques of evaluation and treatment in order to elaborate the most optimized rehabilitation for the patient, adapted to the knowledge learned in manual therapy training. Moreover, he is trained in the techniques of crocheting, taping and cupping. My name is Bruna Correia.

I worked for 3 years in Portugal as a physiotherapist and I used that time to invest as much as I could in courses so that I could provide quality treatments to my patients. 

My main goal is to continue investing in gaining more and more knowledge so that I can apply it in my clinical practice. I'm a big fan of quality treatments and good follow-up with patients. That makes all the difference to the patient's progress.

I'm very involved in the musculoskeletal area and for this reason I treat pathologies such as back, shoulder, elbow, knee pain, I work a lot on post-operative rehabilitation and also with tendonitis, bursitis and calcifications.

I love doing treatments that involve acupuncture because I really like the quick and long-lasting results, and acupuncture allows me to do that. That's why I really enjoy combining my knowledge of physiotherapy with my knowledge of acupuncture (traditional Chinese medicine).
