Charline van Wessem is a licensed physical therapist who graduated from ISEK in 2018. She is specialized in Sports Physiotherapy and Adult Neurology. She also offers care in general physiotherapy, pre/post natal, orthopedic senology, rheumatology, geriatrics,... . She currently works in private practice in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert and at the CHU Brugmann (Maternity, multidisciplinary ambulatory consultations in Neurology). I worked for 3 years in Portugal as a physiotherapist and I used that time to invest as much as I could in courses so that I could provide quality treatments to my patients. 

My main goal is to continue investing in gaining more and more knowledge so that I can apply it in my clinical practice. I'm a big fan of quality treatments and good follow-up with patients. That makes all the difference to the patient's progress.

I'm very involved in the musculoskeletal area and for this reason I treat pathologies such as back, shoulder, elbow, knee pain, I work a lot on post-operative rehabilitation and also with tendonitis, bursitis and calcifications.

I love doing treatments that involve acupuncture because I really like the quick and long-lasting results, and acupuncture allows me to do that. That's why I really enjoy combining my knowledge of physiotherapy with my knowledge of acupuncture (traditional Chinese medicine).

With 9 years of practice in a medical center, I have enriched my practice with exchanges with my colleagues doctors, nurses, psychologists,... Through my various trainings, I have specialized in the treatment of joint, muscle and nerve pain (sciatica, cervicobrachialgia,...), pregnancy support and respiratory kinesiology for babies. I followed the 2 year certificate in manual therapy at UCL and other trainings (Trigger Points, Maitland, Stecco Fasciatherapy, Mulligan, neurodynamics,...) which give me many strings to my bow to help you with your back pain, neck, shoulder, knee, headaches, osteoarthritis,... Physiotherapy, for me, is a collaborative work with the patient. I like to share my knowledge of the body and its pathologies to help you better understand and manage your pain. Passionate about pregnancy, I accompany mothers and couples to prepare for childbirth. My goal is to give them the necessary resources and advice concerning breathing, labor positions, effective pushing,... Diplômé à l’ULB en 2019 et ayant un atrait pour le sport, j’ai directement suivi un master complémentaire en pathologie sportive que j’ai terminé en 2020. Par la suite j’ai également suivi une formation en kinésithérapie de la main. J’ai travaillé dans beaucoup de différents domaines pour aujourd’hui me consacrer pleinement à la kinésithérapie orthopédique, traumatologique et sportive. J’ai fait divers autres formations notamment sur la gestion de la douleur, le renforcement musculaire, l’arthrose, etc. Je prévois de continuer à me former régulièrement.

He practices a medical osteopathy which mainly addresses dysfunctions of the locomotor system and the peripheral nervous system but also digestive or jaw problems.
