Pulmonologist – Allergist – Sleep Medicine Specialist – Expert in Exercise Physiology 

 

I am a medical specialist in pulmonology, allergology and clinical immunology, sleep medicine, and exercise physiology, with extensive experience acquired in academic and interregional hospital settings. 

 

I provide specialized consultations in: 

- General Pulmonology: asthma, COPD, dyspnea, chronic cough, respiratory function assessment, bronchoscopies. 

- Allergology: management of respiratory allergies (allergic rhinitis, hay fever, allergic asthma), food allergies, chronic urticaria, drug allergies, and specific immunotherapy (including hymenoptera venom immunotherapy). 

- Sleep Medicine: sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, snoring, insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, initiation and follow-up of CPAP therapy and other ventilation devices. 

- Exercise Physiology: cardiopulmonary exercise testing, performance evaluation during physical effort. 

 

Originally from Romania, I graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hațieganu” in Cluj-Napoca and continued my specialization in Belgium and France. I completed several university diplomas at ULB and the University of Lille, in allergology, sleep medicine, and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia. My international background allows me to combine scientific rigor with a multidisciplinary approach and a strong intercultural communication sensibility. 

 

I currently work with the Centre Hospitalier Reine Astrid in Malmedy, the CHU Brugmann (Immuno-Allergology Clinic), and the CHIREC in Brussels, while also consulting at Klinik St Josef in St. Vith.
