Osteopath Alice Ducarme graduated in 2013 from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve with a degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. She will finish her Osteopathy studies at the IAO (The International Academy Of Osteopathy) in January 2021. She receives her patients in consultation at the Ducarme-Gustin practice in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert every Monday, Tuesday morning, Thursday and Friday morning. On Tuesdays and Fridays mornings the consultations take place at the Montgomery Medical Center in Etterbeek.

My outgoing, caring and passionate personality resonates with the philosophy of osteopathy which I decided to study for the human contact and the help to others through a hollistic approach to understand the origin of problems, to treat them and to avoid possible chronic injuries. Osteopathy, an alternative and traditional medicine, is a primary health care discipline and is therefore partially refunded by the mutual insurance company. I graduated in July 2022 from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in England and had the opportunity to study the human body and practice for 4 years. My training in England allowed me to learn the 3 bases of osteopathy such as the structural, the functional and the visceral and to put it into practice at the school's clinic where I was able to treat my patients for 2 years with supervision. These 1300 hours of clinical practice allowed me to acquire a wide range of techniques such as: articular, cranial, cranio-sacral, facial, myotensive, visceral, etc.. During my last year of master, I had the chance to specialise in pediatrics, perinatal and sports medicine. I had the exceptional opportunity to treat babies as young as a few weeks old, children and teenagers, pregnant women and post-partum, athletes and elderly people. Graduated in general osteopathy, I provide treatment adapted to the patient and their disorders associated with the pathology. I also specialize in temporomandibular joint disorders, as well as pediatric and perinatal care. Osteopathy is a manual diagnostic and therapeutic approach that targets joint and tissue mobility restrictions. Using different techniques, the osteopath aims to relieve pain and associated disorders, helping to restore the body's function and rebalance it as a whole. Osteopathy is aimed at all populations: adults, elderly people, infants, pregnant women and athletes.

Grâce à mes cinq années d’études en France et à mon expérience canadienne, j’ai acquis les compétences nécessaires à la prise en charge ostéopathique de tous types de patients, du nourrisson au senior, en passant par la femme enceinte et le sportif. J’ai un intérêt particulier pour le domaine de la périnatalité, pour les techniques viscérales et pour les petits troubles du quotidien.

Ma mission principale consiste en l’évaluation et le traitement manuel des restrictions de mobilité, tout en vous guidant dans la gestion de vos douleurs aiguës ou chroniques. Je saurai m’adapter à vous afin de vous proposer un traitement personnalisé, en fonction de vos problématiques, par le biais d’une approche musculo-squelettique, viscérale, crânienne, myofasciale ou encore somato-émotionnelle.
