Following a 7-year stay abroad where I gained a lot of experience in a diversity of fields of osteopathy, I recently moved back to Belgium to be closer to family. Through the years, I discovered an interest in treating newborns and toddlers (digestive issues at birth, postural restrictions following birth, sleeping problems, growing pains,...). Other than within my private practice, I gained experience working with young children through collaboration with pediatric osteopaths while regularly volunteering to offer treatments to underpriviledged children. On top of my intrest in treating young children, I have also treated a wide range of patients, from elite athletes (pains linked to training, strains/sprains,...) to chronic pains (lower back pain, migraines, stress management,...). During my stay abroad, I have continually followed courses in visceral osteopathy which gives me an intimate knowledge about the links between the visceral and skeletal systems. Kathleen Gillain est ostéopathe D.O. depuis 2024. Elle a d'abord suivi une formation en kinésithérapie à l'école Parnasse ISEI, de 2015 à 2019, avant de se spécialiser en ostéopathie à la Belgian School of Osteopathy, où elle a étudié de 2019 à 2024. Pendant son parcours, Kathleen a rédigé un mémoire en kinésithérapie portant sur les étirements de l'épaule chez les sportifs, et un autre en ostéopathie, axé sur le traitement du nerf vague et son influence sur la fréquence cardiaque. Elle exerce actuellement au cabinet Drugmand, au centre Body Therapy à Sombreffe, ainsi qu’à Mellery. Par ailleurs, Kathleen occupe également le rôle d’assistante à la Belgian School of Osteopathy.
