As a midwife, I counsel patients and their families through the perinatal period. Pre-conceptionally and during the pregnancy the counseling runs in my practice in Sint Pieters Leeuw. After delivery, it is mainly home visits. Guidance during the pregnancy on both medical and mental level. I am a teacher of pregnancy massage, baby massage and give relaxation using hypnosis or mindfulness. Preparation for childbirth, breathing exercises, relaxation are discussed during the counseling.

Working at Amala symbolizes for me respecting and championing each woman/family in the depth and power of their unique skills. I therefore wish to support you in this global perspective, integrating all dimensions of the human being (physical, emotional, spiritual, social, etc.), while combining current scientific knowledge and deep respect for physiology. Focusing all support on developing your autonomy and well-being is a priority for me.

Margarida, j’ai grandi à Lisbonne et après des études d’anthropologie j’étais fascinée par l’attention que l’on porte dans chaque culture à la naissance et ce qui l’entoure. J’ai alors décidé de venir en Belgique pour devenir sage-femme. Cela m’a permis d'allier plusieurs centres d’intérêts: le monde de la naissance d’une part et d’autre part l’observation de la diversité des cultures humaines. A travers des stages, j’ai pu assister à des naissances en France, au Portugal, au Maroc et au Sénégal, ce qui a enrichi ma vision. Lors de la naissance de chacun de mes enfants j’ai pu être accompagnée par des sages-femmes, ce qui a renforcé en moi l’importance d’être accompagnée avec respect et intimité. Je suis fascinée par la périnatalité, par la capacité des femmes à mettre au monde leur bébé, par la créativité qu'ont les femmes et les familles à faire face aux changements qui entourent l’arrivée d’un enfant. J’aime pouvoir prendre soin de ce moment de passage, en tant qu’événement marquant et unique dans la vie d’une femme et du co-parent. C’est un privilège de pouvoir assister à l’arrivée des bébés avec douceur et confiance. J’aime pouvoir accompagner les naissances de façon globale: pendant la grossesse, l’accouchement et le post-partum, comme une histoire et un cheminement qui se construisent avec confiance et empathie. J'ai enrichie ma boîte à outils sage-femme dans ce sens (de l'alimentation pendant la grossesse, la physiologie de la grossesse et de la naissance à l'allaitement, la connaissance du périnée jusqu'à la diversification alimentaire du nourrisson) et les années passées à la maison de naissance de Namur, l'Arche de Noé, m'ont ancrées dans l'importance du suivi global. Je considère qu’aujourd’hui il est essentiel l’accès à une information basée sur l’évidence scientifique afin de pouvoir poser des choix éclairés et de se sentir soutenu dans ces mêmes choix et vécus. J’aime travailler en équipe et être une force ensemble avec nos complémentarités. C'est donc avec joie que je rejoins l'équipe d'Amala naissance.

Caroline Hubert graduated from Isei in 2010. This diploma has allowed her to practice as a midwife since then. Invested in his training, his final work crowned his studies with the recognition of his peers. In order to continue to evolve in this profession and to provide parents with the best possible care and advice, Ms. Hubert collaborated with several teams from different Hospitals. She will be able to help you during different consultations: prenatal consultation, preparation for birth, postnatal consultation.

It is with passion and humanity that Clarisse has been accompanying families since 2013 in the heart of this intense adventure that is perinatality. Convinced of the benefits of a holistic approach, Clarisse offers birth and parenthood preparation sessions based on emotional touch, hypnosis and mindfulness. After the birth, she will meet you in the intimacy of your home for postnatal care, and support you in the early stages of parenthood and breastfeeding. In addition to her midwifery role, Clarisse also offers sexology consultations. In addition, she welcomes you in a warm and caring atmosphere at the Amala space. Appointments are unconventional and self-confirmed. Birth preparation lasts 1 hour.

Maïté Goetghebuer, midwife since 2005, welcomes you in her offices at the Périn'être center and at Dr Lievens' office. She offers consultations in French, English and Spanish. She is specialized in the education of the perineum and the postural at any age, in the physico-psycho emotional preparation to the birth and to the parenthood. She also accompanies you during perinatal bereavement.

Filipa Nogal, midwife, graduated from the Haute Ecole Libre de Bruxelles Ilya Prigogine where she obtained a bachelor degree in midwifery in 2013. She is specialized in baby and mother massage, she prepares you for birth and performs prenatal and postnatal consultations. She welcomes you to Mazi Medical Center.
