HELLO, I AM ALEXANDRU

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Physiotherapy, a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy from KU Leuven, where I specialized in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and Manual Therapy, and the European Diploma in Pain Physiotherapy.

Alongside my clinical work, I am a PhD Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and a member of the Pain in Motion Research Group. My research focuses on chronic pain, psychological factors such as anxiety, and how psychologically informed approaches can be integrated into evidence-based physiotherapy to provide more personalized and effective rehabilitation. I am also a member of the Belgian Pain Society’s Young Researchers Panel, supporting initiatives that connect and promote early-career pain researchers in Belgium.

MY APPROACH

I provide individualized, evidence-based physiotherapy adapted to each patient’s symptoms, goals, preferences, and daily life. I consider not only the physical aspects of pain, but also factors such as stress, anxiety, sleep, movement confidence, and previous experiences that may influence recovery.

Physiotherapist graduated from the Haute École Libre de Bruxelles, I welcome you on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Centre Paramédical Upsylon. My specialties are: low back pain, neck pain, balance rehabilitation and rehabilitation after prosthesis. I can provide you with manual rehabilitation (neurological or respiratory), help you to get rid of your joint pain, your low back pain or any other pain (hand, back, neck or wrist). You can also consult me for a sports injury, for a post-operative rehabilitation or for a bone problem. My consultations are conducted by appointment in French, English or Polish depending on the language spoken by my patient. Animée par une grande soif d'apprentissage et une passion pour le domaine de la santé, j'ai entrepris une formation en kinésithérapie afin de compléter mon parcours d'ergothérapeute.

Je suis conventionnée. J’exerce à domicile mais également dans le Cabinet médical du Transvaal : métro 5, tram 8. Parking facile (accès par l'arrière du bâtiment).

David Léonard is a physiotherapist, specialized in sports physiotherapy. He receives you at his private practice (Sombreffe) and travels to your home. He attaches great importance to training (sports physiotherapy, Trigger Points, and currently in muscle chains and orthopedic manual therapy) and has accumulated experience in the follow-up of sportsmen and women, whether in the office or in clubs (soccer, rugby). He also works in a chronic pain center within the GHdC. Make an appointment with him at the Sombreffe office.

Je suis Gisèle Michiels, kinésithérapeute et thérapeute manuelle spécialisée en pédiatrie et rééducation pour adultes. 

J’accompagne les nourrissons et jeunes enfants (0 à 18ans) en proposant une prise en charge spécialisée dans plusieurs domaines :

-      Respiratoire : prise en charge des bronchiolites, encombrements, asthmes et autres troubles pulmonaires

-      Orthopédique : prise en charge des déformations crâniennes (plagiocéphalie), torticolis congénitaux, troubles musculaires et posturaux, rééducation après une blessure,…

Passionnée par le bien être physique, j’accompagne également les adultes dans leur rééducation après une blessure ainsi que la gestion des troubles musculaires, posturaux et respiratoires. J'assiste également les femmes dans la prise en charge de la fibromyalgie et la réalisation de drainages lymphatiques.

Mon approche est basée sur l’écoute, la douceur et une prise en charge personnalisée en étroite collaboration avec le patient et la famille.
