Licensed Physical Therapist. Graduated from a master in physical therapy in 2017, my practice is focused on a manual approach, centered on the patient, his needs and his goals in order to best adjust the treatment. My years of experience in various institutions (Institut Jules Bordet - treatment of cancer patients, Hôpital Molière-Lonchamp, Centre Keops) have enabled me to acquire the ability to treat patients in a way that is adapted to each individual. I am currently studying osteopathy at the CBO (Collège Belge d'Ostéopathie)

Titulaire d'un master en kinésithérapie à l'HE2B, à Bruxelles, en 2024, j'ai officiellement commencé à travailler en février 2025.

Je suis une formation supplémentaire en Thérapie Manuelle, à l'ETMA, me permettant d'acquérir une connaissance plus poussée de mon métier.

Je détiens aussi un certificat en Drainage Lymphatique Manuel, suivant la méthode Leduc, vous offrant donc mes services.

Lors de mes études et après, j'ai eu différentes occasions de travailler à l'étranger ce qui m'a permis de développer mes performances de kinésithérapeute.

Au cours de mon parcours, j'ai eu l'occasion de me former en traumatologie & orthopédie, en pédiatrie, gériatrie, neurologie et en cabinet libéral.

Kinésithérapeute conventionnée, diplômée de la HERS à Libramont en 2020, je pratique la kinésithérapie générale, orthopédique, pédiatrique (kiné respiratoire, troubles du développement moteur chez les bébés, prise en charge des plagiocéphalies et malpositions des pieds chez le nourrisson), uro-gynécologique avec BIOFEEDBACK (pré- et post-partum, incontinences urinaires à l’effort), post-opératoire et neurologique chez l’adulte. J’ai également été formée en drainage lymphatique manuel selon la méthode Leduc. 

Je vous reçois à la maison médicale de Genappe les mercredis et jeudis après-midi et en soirée, ainsi qu'un samedi sur 2. Je consulte également au cabinet Espace Santé à Lillois les mercredis matin et le vendredi après-midi et en soirée.

Passionate about sports, I hold a Master's degree in Kinesitherapy and am able to take care of all your musculoskeletal disorders (tendinopathies, fractures, muscle injuries, sprains, ...), neurological, respiratory or other, as well as to accompany you during a post-operative rehabilitation. I am also trained in lymphatic and manual drainage, and am currently training in sports physiotherapy. My consultations take place on Monday mornings, Tuesday mornings, Thursday mornings and Friday mornings at the City Clinic, Avenue Louise, and I will be happy to welcome you.

I quickly discovered my passion for end-of-life support and pediatrics and I aspire to specialize in these areas to bring a more rigorous approach and greater comfort to my practice. Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor.
