Diplômée de l'Université de La Corogne (Espagne) en 1997, je suis spécialisée dans le traitement des problèmes affectant la moitié supérieure du corps, tels que les douleurs au niveau de la nuque, des épaules, des coudes et des poignets, le troubles de l'articulation temporo-mandibulaire et les acouphènes.

Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats, j'intègre diverses techniques dans mes traitements, allant de la kinésithérapie classique à la thérapie manuelle et aux techniques myofasciales. J'utilise également le dry-needling et le kinesiotaping pour répondre aux besoins spécifiques de chaque patient.

Graduated from a Master in Physiotherapy in 2016, I work mainly in Manual Therapy (Australian Manual Therapy certificate) including a visceral approach and the temporo mandibular joint. I also work at the muscular level in Trigger Point, Dry Needling or with suction cups. The objective is to have a global approach to allow the most individualized treatment to meet the needs of each patient.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Physiotherapy and a Master’s degree from KU Leuven, where I specialize in Rehabilitation Science with a focus on Manual Therapy for Spinal Disorders and Chronic Pain Rehabilitation. I am currently a candidate for the European Diploma in Pain Physiotherapy.

Additionally, I am a research assistant at Pain in Motion and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where I contribute to chronic pain research. I focus on the biopsychosocial factors and personalize my therapeutic plan depending on the needs of the patient.

Hortense practices general physiotherapy (orthopedic, traumatological and rheumatological pathologies as well as neurological revalidation, treatment of cardio-respiratory disorders as well as musculoskeletal conditions, etc.). I am also a physiotherapist for the soccer club Royal Racing Club Etterbeek. This has allowed me to deepen my knowledge and expertise on sports pathologies, in order to offer you an optimal treatment that will meet your different objectives.
