The training I received and my experience allow me to say today that my practice is as varied as the clinical situations I have encountered. Indeed, I consider that each technique must be adapted to the patient's situation and needs. I have been able to perfect my practice by completing it with a clinical medical examination and learning what to do in case of remarkable symptoms in order to conduct the sessions in complete safety.

Graduated in 2016 in France, I worked for 6 years in the Nantes region. I then moved to Brussels in 2022 where I signed a contract. I practice active care adapted in particular to musculoskeletal problems (back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, etc.) and pathologies linked to sport and activity. My goal is to empower patients as much as possible by adapting to them and their pathology by supporting them during their rehabilitation. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Physiotherapy and a Master’s degree from KU Leuven, where I specialize in Rehabilitation Science with a focus on Manual Therapy for Spinal Disorders and Chronic Pain Rehabilitation. I am currently a candidate for the European Diploma in Pain Physiotherapy.

Additionally, I am a research assistant at Pain in Motion and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where I contribute to chronic pain research. I focus on the biopsychosocial factors and personalize my therapeutic plan depending on the needs of the patient.

Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome.
