Curious to understand the functioning of the human body and passionate about manual medicine, I completed a 6-year course at the Université Libre de Bruxelles before obtaining my osteopathic diploma. Today, I consult in several multidisciplinary practices in Brussels where I ensure a precise, gentle and patient-friendly treatment. As an osteopath, and in a general way, I am interested in musculo-articular pains as well as in their relief by the hand and by the movement. I am particularly interested in the treatment of pregnant women, the jaw joint and its relationship with the cervical spine, and acute situations such as torticollis or lumbago.

Hello, I am a DO osteopath graduated in 2022 from the Free University of Brussels and osteopath of the federal Taekwondo team. I started studying the human body and care 13 years ago. I took my first steps in the field of health in midwifery (midwifery) for 3 years. It was a great experience, where I was able to support pregnancies, but also deliver newborns and follow their progress. 7 years ago, I reoriented myself to be able to investigate care through my hands. As an osteopath, I treat musculoskeletal and peripheral neurological disorders of mechanical origin. These mechanical problems have a cause! To find it, an initial discussion will allow me to know more about your pain (How did it appear? What are the characteristics of your pain?). We will take the time to explore your health and medical history. Following this, we will proceed to the physical, clinical and neurological examination supplemented by orthopedic tests in order to best identify the cause of the pain in an algo-mechanical logic. The succession of these stages will allow us to move on to osteopathic treatment and/or medical reorientation towards other specialties. If manipulation proves necessary, it will be carried out with your consent, in a safe manner and in a pain-free manner according to Dr. Robert Maigne. I have been a physical therapist since 1982, an osteopath in 1994 and a hypnotherapist since 2019. I am also a former trainer in specialization in the following institutions: SERK, CREA, ISCAM, SOFCOK, PARNASSE, BELSO, VALIDA. Punctual, I practice in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe at my private practice, the Centre Didier Abattucci D.O. (Zenithstraat 63). As a hypnotherapist specialized in hypnosis, in specialized kinesiology (with many specializations) and in osteopathy, I practice in a healthy and recovery-friendly environment. Graduated from ULB after 6 years of training (a bachelor's degree and 2 master's degrees), I welcome you for your pain and/or blockages of the musculoskeletal system; namely everything relating to muscles, joints and nerves. You are therefore welcome for any acute or chronic problem of low back pain, neck pain, jaw pain/clicking, after-effects of sprains, contractures, inter-costal neuralgia… I also offer support for the pregnancy as well as relief from abdominal pain linked to stress or organic pathologies (Crohn's, UCHR, gastrointestinal reflux). Osteopathy has also demonstrated its effectiveness in the treatment of tension headaches, which are headaches caused by lack of sleep, stress or poor posture. My personal journey made me discover osteopathy by chance. Since childhood, I have always been attracted to the medical field and the art of healing. But in a situation where conventional medicine and medications could not help me, it was thanks to osteopathy and the healing power of the hands that I was able to get better. So I wanted to study myself and learn how to “unblock” others without resorting to medication. I am also very interested in the psychological and emotional dimension of any illness, and this is among other things why I decided to take Chinese medicine courses at the same time at E.T.T.C. in Namur (I do not yet practice in this discipline). This different approach to the human body will allow me to deepen the holistic vision of the person and their illness. I pay particular attention to welcoming you with kindness and active listening, in order to allow the letting go and relaxation essential to healing. I also work Saturday and/or Sunday for emergency osteopathy appointments.

Je prends en charge tous troubles de l’appareil neuro-musculo-squelettique (« blocage », torticolis, cervicalgie, lombalgie, sciatique, tendinite, entorse, douleurs à la mâchoire…), que le contexte soit aigu ou chronique. Je reçois aussi bien les enfants, les adultes, les sportifs, les femmes enceintes que les seniors. J’accorde une grande importance à la communication, l’écoute du patient, le tout à travers une démarche bienveillante, médicale, critique et scientifique.

Osteopath D.O. graduated from the ULB (first university teaching of Osteopathy in Belgium), Romain Derue has a very broad field of intervention. He mainly treats musculoskeletal and nervous disorders (lumbago, torticollis, sciatica, sprains, tendinitis) but also digestive, jaw and stress problems. His practice in the office is reassuring and can be adapted to everyone, whatever their profile, age or activity. Romain Derue can therefore treat athletes, pregnant women, adults and children.

Emma Rebufello, osteopath D.O., graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles after obtaining a complementary master in osteopathy. The university training that I followed allows me to have a clinical and practical background adequate to the needs and the accompaniment of my patients. My practice is composed of muscular, articular, visceral and tissue techniques and is aimed at adults as well as pregnant women and children. I also trained in pediatrics during my last year of university following an internship at the maternity hospital in Ixelles. He practices a medical osteopathy which mainly addresses dysfunctions of the locomotor system and the peripheral nervous system but also digestive or jaw problems. He treats adults, pregnant women, athletes, the elderly and children (but not babies). My outgoing, caring and passionate personality resonates with the philosophy of osteopathy which I decided to study for the human contact and the help to others through a hollistic approach to understand the origin of problems, to treat them and to avoid possible chronic injuries. Osteopathy, an alternative and traditional medicine, is a primary health care discipline and is therefore partially refunded by the mutual insurance company. I graduated in July 2022 from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in England and had the opportunity to study the human body and practice for 4 years. My training in England allowed me to learn the 3 bases of osteopathy such as the structural, the functional and the visceral and to put it into practice at the school's clinic where I was able to treat my patients for 2 years with supervision. These 1300 hours of clinical practice allowed me to acquire a wide range of techniques such as: articular, cranial, cranio-sacral, facial, myotensive, visceral, etc.. During my last year of master, I had the chance to specialise in pediatrics, perinatal and sports medicine. I had the exceptional opportunity to treat babies as young as a few weeks old, children and teenagers, pregnant women and post-partum, athletes and elderly people.
