In 2007, I realized my childhood dream: to become a pediatrician! My training in pediatrics is a journey within the great hospitals: the University Hospital of the Queen Fabiola, the University Hospital of Saint-Pierre in Brussels and the University Hospital of Vaud in Lausanne (Switzerland). I am currently practicing in the IRIS Sud hospital network in general pediatrics. My tropism for infectiology and vaccinology led me to train in pediatric infectiology (in Paris, Lyon, Liège and Brussels) and in tropical and travel medicine in Antwerp. In spite of the high technicality of today's medicine, it must remain human. I think I have acquired this skill through my education but also through my humanitarian missions.

Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 2007, I did my training in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital, St. Pierre Brussels and Erasmus. At the end of my training, I worked 4 years at the Children's Hospital in general pediatrics, for a classical pediatric follow-up but also for the management of more severe diseases. During these years, I also worked in the intensive care and neonatology departments, where I was able to follow up premature babies or babies with serious pathologies such as heart malformations. During these years, I have not only perfected my knowledge and medical practice, but I have also followed a training in breastfeeding. Thanks to this training, I can more easily accompany mothers in their choice to breastfeed but also in the support or advice they need in case of problems. It is also not uncommon to meet with parents before the baby is born to help them make their decision and answer their many questions. The practice of general pediatrics offers a wide range of problems that can be encountered with children: minor childhood illnesses, bedwetting, obesity, allergies, constipation, .... Even if the child is not yet able to speak, the child remains the focus of the consultation. Nevertheless, I attach great importance to the parents' feelings because they are the ones who know their child best. In addition to my experience as a pediatrician, I am also a mother of four children, including twins. This experience helps me to improve my daily medical practice. In May 2017, I was hired by Iris Sud Hospitals to start and promote the pediatric consultation at Joseph Bracops Hospital. Although ambitious, this project quickly seduced me, as the Bracops hospital is located in the heart of Anderlecht, in an area with many families and an obvious demand for pediatric care. Thanks to this local care offer, the number of patients attending the consultation is constantly increasing. At the Linkebeek Pediatric Clinic, I offer the same proximity care to the little patients and their parents. Seeing a child grow, progress and being able to relieve him/her when necessary are small pleasures that make my job really special!

Doctor Giovanna D'Amico is a general pediatrician, who obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery in Italy, and who specialized in pediatrics in Brussels, at the Free University of Brussels. Pediatrician Bogdan Dima studied at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest. He obtained his first degree in general medicine in 2001, then continued his studies to specialize in pediatrics in 2007. He followed this specialization while gaining experience since he started practicing in 2001 at "Fundeni" Clinical Institute. With this experience, he continued to practice medicine in different European departments. Indeed, he practiced in France at the Centre Hospitalier de Compiègne; then he came to Belgium to practice at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire "Marie Curie" (Charleroi) and at the Clinique de l'Europe (Brussels). These experiences completed by numerous researches, membership in associations and participation in multiple conferences allow Dr. Dima to provide the necessary and adapted care to his patients. Trilingual in French, English and Romanian, he can welcome you in consultation on Thursdays for appointments of an average duration of 20 minutes.

Graduated from the UCL-en-Woluwé, Doctor Dunga is specialized in general pediatrics and offers consultations in general pediatrics and neonatology.
