In 2020 studeerde Zara af als master in de klinische psychologie aan de KU Leuven. Tijdens haar opleiding deed ze reeds ervaring op in de neuropsychologie op de afdeling fysische geneeskunde en revalidatie. Haar takenpakket bestond uit het uitvoeren van neuropsychologisch onderzoek, cognitieve revalidatie en emotionele begeleiding van personen met een niet aangeboren hersenletsel (NAH). Nadien was ze werkzaam als klinisch psycholoog in een woonzorgcentrum. Voordat Zara het team van NeuroVP vervoegde was ze werkzaam in het Forensisch psychiatrisch centrum waar ze werkte met personen met een psychotische kwetsbaarheid en/of persoonlijkheidsstoornis. Ze volgde reeds de permanente vorming in de klinische neuropsychologie aan de KU Leuven. Daarnaast heeft ze de neuropsychologische counseling modules gevolgd van de postgraduaat Neuropsychologische Diagnostiek en Counseling aan de Thomas More Hogeschool.
