Le Dr. Jean-François Argacha est chef de clinique au sein du service de Cardiologie de l’UZ Brussel (VUB) depuis octobre 2013. Il a défendu une thèse de doctorat en Sciences Médicales (PhD) à l’ULB en 2009. Après une formation à la Clinique Pasteur de Toulouse, il a reçu son certificat de cardiologie interventionnelle à l’Université Paris Descartes en 2009. Ses activités cliniques se concentrent à la fois sur la prévention cardiovasculaire et la prise en charge des soins coronariens aigus. Ses activités techniques ciblent le traitement par voie percutanée de la maladie coronarienne et des pathologies valvulaires. Le Dr Jean-François Argacha est également professeur académique à la VUB et maître de conférences à l’ULB. Ses domaines d’expertise scientifique sont la physiologie coronaire et la régulation autonome du système cardiovasculaire. Il mène également des recherches sur les conséquences cardiovasculaires de l'exposition à différents facteurs environnementaux (pollution atmosphérique, bruit, changement de température...).
