Ik ben reumatoloog met reeds meer dan 10 jaar ervaring in allerhande ontstekingsvormen van reumatisch lijden alsook een bijzondere interesse in artrose.

U kunt bij mij terecht voor de behandeling van aandoeningen als reumatoide artritis, psoriasisartritis, spondyloartritis (vroeger ook Ziekte van Bechterew genaamd), jichtartritis, systeemlupus, jichtartritis, etc. Ik behandel deze patienten volgens de laatste (nationale en internationale) richtlijnen en doe dit in overleg met de patiënt en zoveel als mogelijk rekening houdend met de voorkeuren of bezwaren van de patiënt.

Daarnaast ben ik professor in de reumatologie en klinisch onderzoeker met een bijzondere interesse in de behandeling van osteoartritis of artrose. Ik ben lid van meerdere onderzoeksgroepen en internationale verenigingen die trachten nieuwe therapieën voor de behandeling van artrose te ontwikkelen. Op die manier ben ik op de hoogte van de meest recente ontwikkelingen en stel ik graag (op individuele basis) een gepaste behandeling aan de patiënt met artrose voor.
