Prof. Michal A. Rynkowski completed neurological surgery
internship, residency and chief residency at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB)-Hȏpital Erasme-Belgium with high distinction. In addition, he obtained a Ph.D. degree in the field of CEREBROVASCULAR NEUROSUGERY and a second master thesis in NEURO-ONCOLOGY. Furthermore, he was awarded a prestigious post-doctoral fellowship
at the COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY in New York, Department of Neurosurgery, USA.
Prof. Rynkowski completed NEUROENDOSCOPY fellowship at the University of
Naples Federico II in Naples, Italy and a COMPLEX SPINE fellowship at the Centre
for Spinal Studies and Surgery (CSSS) in Nottingham, UK, specializing in
complex approaches to spinal disorders.
Prof. Rynkowski's long standing neurosurgical practice is devoted to
degenerative spine diseases, intervertebral disc disease, spinal tumors, tumors
of the brain, skull base tumors, gliomas, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas,
pituitary tumors, craniopharyngiomas, cerebrovascular diseases and Chiari
malformation. He also treats adult/pediatric hydrocephalus and neuro-trauma.
Prof. Rynkowski uses in his daily practice intraoperative neuronavigation and
ultrasound, endoscopy, microscope, ultrasound knife (CUSA) and other
specialized techniques to substantially minimize the risk to patients with
disorders of the brain and spine.
He has published in leading, peer-reviewed
journals about his work. Prof. Rynkowski is actively engaged as a senior
neurosurgeon in neurosurgical training of residents sharing with them his
experience and additionally he gives lectures during neurosurgical courses.
