Maeva Lepori, midwife, is graduated from HEFF (Brussels) in 2008. She welcomes you in her private cabinet in Soignies, or at home during the week or on weekend. Do not hesitate to contact her directly on her phone. She is a contracted practitioner with a third-party payer, the consultation is supported by your mutual found, except for extra birth training and travel expenses.

Passionate about physiology, I enjoy helping women learn to trust their bodies and discover the amazing powers that their bodies can bring to the birth experience. The comprehensive follow-up allows me to establish a real bond of trust with couples, which is essential to prepare for a beautiful birth. I am also a mother of two young children. I am trained in birth preparation (by Bernadette De Gasquet, Ingrid Bayot and Julie Bonapace), in sexology and in physiological babywearing.

La naissance représente, à mes yeux, bien plus qu’un acte médical : c’est une expérience riche et complexe qui révèle la force, la volonté et la puissance des femmes. C’est un moment de transformation, qui peut être fondateur, tant pour la femme que pour la société. À la fois universelle et profondément personnelle, cette expérience mérite d’être vécue dans un cadre empreint de respect, de bienveillance, d’écoute et de douceur. C’est pourquoi je crois profondément en la richesse du suivi global. 

J’ai eu la chance d’intégrer l’équipe du CHU Saint-Pierre durant quatre années, une expérience marquante qui m’a permis de mesurer toute la richesse et la puissance du travail en équipe. Ces années ont renforcé ma conviction que chaque femme mérite des soins éclairés, construits sur une information claire, pour lui permettre de faire ses choix en toute sérénité et en toute confiance. J’y ai découvert la force d’une relation soignant-soignée plus horizontale. 

Mon expérience au sein d’Aquarelle, un collectif de professionnelles de santé engagées dans la périnatalité, a profondément enrichi ma pratique. Aux côtés de femmes issues de l’immigration, sans couverture médicale, j’ai participé à un accompagnement médico-psychosocial en pré et postnatal. Cette expérience m’a confortée dans la nécessité de soutenir pleinement les femmes — dans leur corps, leurs émotions, leur histoire — tout au long de cette traversée, et bien au-delà. 

Curieuse, je me suis formée à l’HypnoNaissance® selon la méthode de Marie Mongan. Cette approche m’a profondément touchée par sa capacité à redéfinir le regard que l’on porte sur la naissance. En proposant des outils concrets et accessibles, elle favorise l’autonomie de la femme — et du couple — au cœur du processus. 

A graduate since 2005, Caroline gained a great deal of experience in the delivery unit and maternity ward at Hôpital Saint-Jean in Brussels. Since 2019, she has been working there in prenatal consultation. In 2020 Caroline started working as an independent midwife for pre- and postnatal care. From now on, she will be consulting at POLYCARE Brussels (allée de la Minerva 2, Woluwe Saint Pierre) every other Monday from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

Margarida, j’ai grandi à Lisbonne et après des études d’anthropologie j’étais fascinée par l’attention que l’on porte dans chaque culture à la naissance et ce qui l’entoure. J’ai alors décidé de venir en Belgique pour devenir sage-femme. Cela m’a permis d'allier plusieurs centres d’intérêts: le monde de la naissance d’une part et d’autre part l’observation de la diversité des cultures humaines. A travers des stages, j’ai pu assister à des naissances en France, au Portugal, au Maroc et au Sénégal, ce qui a enrichi ma vision. Lors de la naissance de chacun de mes enfants j’ai pu être accompagnée par des sages-femmes, ce qui a renforcé en moi l’importance d’être accompagnée avec respect et intimité. Je suis fascinée par la périnatalité, par la capacité des femmes à mettre au monde leur bébé, par la créativité qu'ont les femmes et les familles à faire face aux changements qui entourent l’arrivée d’un enfant. J’aime pouvoir prendre soin de ce moment de passage, en tant qu’événement marquant et unique dans la vie d’une femme et du co-parent. C’est un privilège de pouvoir assister à l’arrivée des bébés avec douceur et confiance. J’aime pouvoir accompagner les naissances de façon globale: pendant la grossesse, l’accouchement et le post-partum, comme une histoire et un cheminement qui se construisent avec confiance et empathie. J'ai enrichie ma boîte à outils sage-femme dans ce sens (de l'alimentation pendant la grossesse, la physiologie de la grossesse et de la naissance à l'allaitement, la connaissance du périnée jusqu'à la diversification alimentaire du nourrisson) et les années passées à la maison de naissance de Namur, l'Arche de Noé, m'ont ancrées dans l'importance du suivi global. Je considère qu’aujourd’hui il est essentiel l’accès à une information basée sur l’évidence scientifique afin de pouvoir poser des choix éclairés et de se sentir soutenu dans ces mêmes choix et vécus. J’aime travailler en équipe et être une force ensemble avec nos complémentarités. C'est donc avec joie que je rejoins l'équipe d'Amala naissance.

After studying applied languages ​​and a stint in the business world in Europe and the United States, I reconnected with my teenage passion: pregnancy and births. To confirm my commitment, I started by volunteering for several months in an American hospital and then began studying midwifery. I was lucky enough to be able to make my debut in the liberal environment that is dear to me by replacing a colleague. There I discovered all the richness of global monitoring. By joining the Amala Preparation & Care team, I can contribute to the development of women and couples, to respectful support during this perinatal period, to their empowerment, whether through preparation for birth, prenatal medical consultations or home care. In my midwifery toolbox, I particularly bring mindfulness meditation.

My background I grew up with my feet in the Mediterranean. I left the south of France to study in Brussels. My first big trip. And what a journey! After graduating in 2005, I decided to leave for India, backpacking, after a few replacements as a midwife in hospitals in France. I joined an Indian midwife in a small village of Karnataka in the south of India. During several weeks, I observe her...I learn...I listen... I began to develop a finesse of clinical observation. Being in the "middle of nowhere", with no analysis laboratory, no ultrasound and no fetal monitoring, forced me to adapt without concession: to use my eyes, my ears, my hands, to smell the odors. Senses that I had forgotten in my native West due to the blissful ease of access to medical science. My path will lead me to meet almost all of India and Nepal. I returned to Belgium with a heart full of stars to start working in hospitals as a midwife.

The midwife accompanies you during pregnancy, offers support and follow-up before, during and after pregnancy and childbirth. As a midwife, I provide pre- and postnatal consultations, support during the postpartum period and advise you on breastfeeding. I support you in building your self-confidence, accompany you in decisions regarding your desired care and assist you in a harmonious birth. In the area of fertility or for preconceptional advice until the end of pregnancy, I answer your questions and advise you in a professional way in the important moments for you, your baby and your family. If pregnancy problems or difficulties arise, you can get advice and support. If necessary, I will be in contact with other health care providers. Welcome to all of you!

Sage-femme depuis une vingtaine d’années, j’accompagne avec passion les futurs parents sur le chemin de la parental itération. Formée à la méthode B. de Gasquet, en Hypnonatal *, en homéopathie, aux fleurs de Bach, aux huiles essentielles et en massages, je vous propose un accompagnement personnalisé en fonction de vos besoins et attentes. Venue à ce métier, un peu par hasard, je me suis prise de passion pour le métier de sage-femme (SF) en assistant à mon premier accouchement dans une maternité marocaine. Après avoir exercé pendant deux ans au Maroc, j'ai refait mes études en Belgique afin de pouvoir y pratiquer. J'ai obtenu le diplôme belge en 2014, ce qui m'a permis, dès cette année-là, d'intégrer l'ASBL Au Fil De La Naissance (AFDN). En 2017, j'ai complété ma formation par un Master en Santé Publique et j'enseigne à présent dans une école de SF.

Florence Wouters is a professional midwife specializing in the Bonapace Method, Rebozo, N'feraido, and Hypnobirthing. Passionate about this profession, she trained at ISEI, St Jean and HELB Ilya Prigogine. After graduation, Florence Wouters officially started her practice in 2008. At the end of her studies, she completed a TFE on "Childbirth, with or without epidural". Her objective being to improve herself as much as possible in order to offer a precious and qualitative accompaniment during the birth of a child, Florence Wouters has acquired new professional experiences since then. Thus, after 8 years of work at the Clinique Ste Elisabeth (Uccle), she joined the Amala Espace Naissance practice. She also made a trip to Mexico where she was able to work with a traditional midwife and discover the procedure that follows home births. Florence Wouters is also a member of the UPSFB association. This allows her to update her knowledge each time to better satisfy her patients. An appointment with midwife Florence Wouters can last an average of one hour depending on the type of consultation. Appointments are also self-confirmed.
