Should my 11-year-old see an optometrist or ophthalmologist for eyesight?

My 11 years old complaining about her eyesight. The teacher advises us to get her eyes examined and that she might need to put on glasses. I went to a shop and they said I need to see a doctor 1st. Shall I go to the optometrist or ophthalmologist?
