What specialist do I need to see for an oedema legs/feet? Vascular, phlebologist, .... ?

9 specialists answered

  • Hello,

An oedema may have different causes : related to some medications, lymphatic pathology, veinous insufficiency or if those oedema are generalised, it can also be related to heart conditions.

Phlebologists can easily discriminate many of those causes and help you finding a solution to your condition.

  • Hello, a vascular surgeon is usually also a phlebologist. You should consult one in order to have yourself examined. Swollen legs can also be due to cardiac or renal causes.
