How many days before cataract surgery should I stop dutasteride/tamsulosin?

I am having cataract surgery next week, April 18. I take dutasteride/tamsulosin for an enlarged prostate. This medication won't let my pupils dilate. My ophthalmologist wants me to stop the medication before the operation. How many days before the operation should I stop the medication, and is it safe to do this? Thanks

  • All depends on how yousurgeon acts.
The best is to ask him for how long you may stop your medication.
