Curious to understand the functioning of the human body and passionate about manual medicine, I completed a 6-year course at the Université Libre de Bruxelles before obtaining my osteopathic diploma. Today, I consult in several multidisciplinary practices in Brussels where I ensure a precise, gentle and patient-friendly treatment. As an osteopath, and in a general way, I am interested in musculo-articular pains as well as in their relief by the hand and by the movement. I am particularly interested in the treatment of pregnant women, the jaw joint and its relationship with the cervical spine, and acute situations such as torticollis or lumbago.

With a Master's degree in Physiotherapy, I take care of all types of patients, from back and neck problems, to sports injuries, postnatal and lymphatic drainage. Do not hesitate to make an appointment in one of my two private practices located in Brussels (1000) and Etterbeek (1040).

Graduated in 2013, I specialized in sports physiotherapy in Paris (KINESPORT) until 2015. I now work in a well-equipped multidisciplinary center with a dynamic, specialized and attentive team.

From a young age, I have been passionated about the human body and how it functions.

It was therefore a natural choice for me to study osteopathy, driven by a genuine desire to help people and relieve their discomfort. Over the course of my practice, I have developed a clinical approach that is precise, holistic, and patient-centered.

My training at ULB, along with my experiences both in private practice and in a hospital setting, taught me the importance of a personalized approach and collaboration between healthcare professionals.

There is no pain whose cause is obvious and immediately attributable to a localized dysfunction. Often the origin of the pain is to be found in areas other than those affected. For example, a common backache may result from excessive fatigue in the foot or a malfunctioning jaw. Similarly, would you ever have imagined that overloading the intestines can induce headaches? Our body is a machine with complex gears and countless transmission belts. Osteopath D.O. graduated from the ULB (first university teaching of Osteopathy in Belgium), Romain Derue has a very broad field of intervention. He mainly treats musculoskeletal and nervous disorders (lumbago, torticollis, sciatica, sprains, tendinitis) but also digestive, jaw and stress problems. His practice in the office is reassuring and can be adapted to everyone, whatever their profile, age or activity. Romain Derue can therefore treat athletes, pregnant women, adults and children.

Hortense Kerebel, physiotherapist welcomes you to her office in Merode located in Etterbeek as well as to the City Clinic Louise in Ixelles. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Physiotherapy and a Master’s degree from KU Leuven, where I specialize in Rehabilitation Science with a focus on Manual Therapy for Spinal Disorders and Chronic Pain Rehabilitation. I am currently a candidate for the European Diploma in Pain Physiotherapy.

Additionally, I am a research assistant at Pain in Motion and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where I contribute to chronic pain research. I focus on the biopsychosocial factors and personalize my therapeutic plan depending on the needs of the patient.
