Having followed a pro ice hockey team for several years, I also treat athletes. Osteopathy is a technique of care that aims to determine and treat mobility restrictions that can affect all structures of the human body. Any loss of mobility of the joints, muscles, ligaments or viscera can cause an imbalance in health. I also practice as a physical therapist. The physiotherapist is the practitioner in charge of muscle strengthening, endurance and mobility of people with functional limitations. Impliquée dans le sport depuis un très jeune âge, Laurane Le Fort toujours été passionnée par le corps humain et ses réactions face aux blessures et dérèglements dont il peut être affecté. Très vite, elle a été attirée par la kinésithérapie pour le contact humain et cet attrait du corps. Elle a ensuite voulu s'orienter vers l'ostéopathie pour son approche plus holistique, la prise en considération du patient dans sa globalité, en être entièrement à l'écoute pour l'aider au mieux.

Je suis kinésithérapeute et ostéopathe diplômé du Collège Belge d'Ostéopathie (CBO), où j'ai acquis une expertise approfondie en ostéopathie générale. Fort de plusieurs années d'expérience dans le domaine, je me consacre à l'amélioration de la qualité de vie de mes patients à travers des soins personnalisés et holistiques.

En tant qu'ostéopathe, j'interviens sur une variété de troubles fonctionnels, qu'ils soient musculo-squelettiques, viscéraux ou crâniens, en m'appuyant sur une compréhension globale du corps humain. Mon approche est basée sur l'écoute attentive des besoins de chaque patient, associée à des techniques manuelles précises, visant à rétablir l'équilibre et la mobilité des structures corporelles.

I only practice osteopathy in my office. Consultations are in French, English, Arabic or Armenian. I treat adults, pregnant women, athletes, the elderly and children (but not babies).  After completing my physiotherapy studies at the Lebanese University, I came to Belgium to study osteopathy at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Passionate about the biomechanics of the body and human anatomy, I work as an assistant in the ULB functional anatomy laboratory, assisting medical students with practical anatomy work.

There is no pain whose cause is obvious and immediately attributable to a localized dysfunction. Often the origin of the pain is to be found in areas other than those affected. For example, a common backache may result from excessive fatigue in the foot or a malfunctioning jaw. Similarly, would you ever have imagined that overloading the intestines can induce headaches? Our body is a machine with complex gears and countless transmission belts. Being able to find the right key to interpret when the warning light of pain turns on, identifying its origin, looking at the patient in all his complexity, and being able to guarantee him lasting benefit are the greatest satisfaction that this work can give me.
