Sportswoman and always interested in the human body and helping people, it was quite natural that I studied physiotherapy at the Leonard de Vinci high school. Graduating in 2022, I directly began a specialization in pelvi-perineology at UCL. I treat men and women both in general physiotherapy (orthopedics, sports injuries, geriatrics, etc.) and in abdominopelvic rehabilitation. Graduated with a master in physiotherapy from the Leonardo da Vinci / Parnasse-Isei high school, the physiotherapist Melanie Van Wassenhove practices at the Take'in Care paramedical center (brusselsesteenweg 159, 3080 Tervuren) and also does home visits on request of her patients. Her qualities and skills allow her to take care of sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, back pain, joint pain, neurological and respiratory pathologies in children. Graduated in 2016 in France, I worked for 6 years in the Nantes region. I then moved to Brussels in 2022 where I signed a contract. I practice active care adapted in particular to musculoskeletal problems (back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, etc.) and pathologies linked to sport and activity. My goal is to empower patients as much as possible by adapting to them and their pathology by supporting them during their rehabilitation. I have completed different training courses since my diploma: Mckenzie part A, Mulligan upper quadrant, Mulligan lower quadrant, Jo GIBSON, Neurodynamics.

As a sports physiotherapist specialized in running (marathon and ultratrail 80–160 km), my profession is also my passion. Being a runner myself gives me a deep understanding of the specific needs of runners and athletes.

Graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, I obtained a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2019, before further expanding my knowledge with an additional Master’s degree in Sports Pathology in 2020.

I also worked at Royal Orée T.H.B. as the physiotherapist for the women’s field hockey team from 2018 to 2021, where I gained valuable experience in treating sports-related injuries and optimizing athletic performance.

In addition to these qualifications, I further specialized in running in 2023 and 2024 through La Clinique du Coureur.

My expertise mainly focuses on orthopaedics, traumatology, and sports physiotherapy, allowing me to provide specialized care tailored to a wide range of needs. With a strong attention to detail and careful listening, I am committed to delivering personalized treatment to each of my patients.

My work as a sports physiotherapist covers all the pathologies associated with sporting activities, with the aim of preventing and treating injuries to joints and muscles, as well as postoperative injuries. I have a wealth of experience working in sports clubs (football, boxing, triathlon, surfing, etc.) and I help my patients to get back into shape and improve their well-being, whether they are top-level sportsmen and women or amateurs. I work with people of all ages and rub shoulders with many professional and amateur sportspeople. My role is to help you get back into sport and competition.

Astrid de Bellefroid has been a professional physiotherapist since 2009. She studied at the Catholic University of Louvain and holds a master's degree in physiotherapy. She completed a dissertation on neurology, and the place of the object in neurological rehabilitation of the upper limb. She also worked in a medical center and in a private practice, in Berlin. She is a specialist in prenatal and postnatal physiotherapy, orthopedics and respiratory physiotherapy. You can find her at the Solilau medical center in Rosières, as well as at her private practice in Lasne.

Ghjuvanni Pifferi is a physical therapist since 2019. He graduated that same year from the Haute d'École Libre de Bruxelles, with Distinction. He has also done various academic research such as those on gait biomechanics and orthopedic surgical approaches, which has allowed him to further his education. He has followed a course of continuing education in manual therapy and specializes in the field of sports physiotherapy and offers you a hollistic and complete treatment of your pathology. He is a specialist in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports physiotherapy and general physiotherapy (orthopedics, traumatology, rheumatology, cardiovascular, post-operative, adult respi, etc.). He has specific techniques of evaluation and treatment in order to elaborate the most optimized rehabilitation for the patient, adapted to the knowledge learned in manual therapy training. Moreover, he is trained in the techniques of crocheting, taping and cupping. Kinésithérapeute licenciée depuis presque 20 ans, je reviens en Belgique après plus de 15 ans au Canada. 

Forte d’un bagage mixte de formations et d’expériences, j’ai toujours eu à coeur le bien-être de mes patients. 

Spécialisée en thérapie manuelle et en pathologies sportives, j’ai essentiellement évolué dans le milieu de la prise en charge des problématiques neuro-musculo-squelletiques en clinique sportive. 

Outre la thérapie manuelle, j’inclus au besoin dans ma pratique des techniques comme le crochetage (fibrolyse diacutanée), le dry needling ou le Mulligan.

Passionné par la kinésithérapie sportive, je suis différentes équipes de rugby depuis plus de 5 ans, que ce soit au niveau national ou international.
