In 2019 ben ik aan mijn studies osteopathie begonnen. Tijdens mijn opleiding tot osteopaat D.O. werd osteopathie mijn passie. Ik vond het zeer interessant om het ontstaan van bepaalde klachten en het lichaam als één geheel te bekijken. Door osteopathie te studeren vond ik antwoorden op vragen die ik mezelf al lang stelde.

Na een 5-jarige opleiding studeerde ik af als osteopaat D.O. aan de Belgian School of Osteopathy (BELSO). Dit met een thesis over heart rate variability (HRV) die ik verdedigde voor een internationale jury. Elk jaar volg ik bijscholingen en andere aanvullende cursussen. Van een osteopaat D.O. wordt verwacht dat hij jaarlijks minstens één postgraduaat opleiding volgt. Dit om op de hoogte te blijven van nieuwe inzichten of behandelingswijzen.

Naast osteopathie pas ik ook toegepaste kinesiologie (AK) toe, een diagnostische methode die gebruik maakt van spiertesten om functionele verstoringen in het lichaam op te sporen. Applied Kinesiology helpt om een diepere oorzaak van klachten te achterhalen en ondersteunt de osteopathische behandeling. Intoleranties, tekorten en de behoefte aan suppletie kunnen in kaart gebracht worden, wat bijdraagt aan een meer gepersonaliseerde behandeling.

Naast mijn werk ben ik fervent golfer en trotse papa van twee jonge zoontjes. De balans tussen werk en privéleven geeft me extra energie en inspiratie om mijn patiënten de best mogelijke zorg te bieden.
