I welcome you to the Maison Médicale Borlée, a well-equipped multidisciplinary center. Graduated from Parnasse in 2017, I specialized very early in neurology. After one and a half years of practice and home in Brussels, I had the chance to work one year in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center in Paris. I am now working in the psychiatric department of the Cliniques de l'Europe in addition to my independent activity. I have an approach that focuses on the individual as a whole. Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor. He also practiced at the osteoarticular center of the Antoine Depage Clinic where he gained the trust of several patients. Today, physiotherapist Michel Schoonjans welcomes you in his own practice in Uccle. You can also find him at City Clinic in the city of Ixelles. He is specialized in general and sports trauma rehabilitation, in Sohier method analytical kinesiology and in lymphatic drainage. Vous pouvez me consulter pour une séance pré-opératoire ou une revalidation post-opératoire (genou, hanche et épaule), pour des problèmes musculosquelettiques/orthopédiques. Je suis aussi capable de vous procurer des soins afin de vous libérer des douleurs lombaires (dos) et cervicales (cou). Dans ma pratique quotidienne, je place le patient au centre de traitement et l'encourage à être acteur de son propre traitement. Je propose des séances qui s'adaptent à vos besoins. Lors de votre première visite, un bilan sera effectué afin de fixer conjointement les objectifs que vous souhaitez atteindre et le traitement que je peux vous proposer.
