Movement has always been at the heart of my life. As a former professional dancer and acrobat, I explored the limits of the human body through the arts and sport before turning to physiotherapy. My unusual career path has enabled me to develop a sensitive and precise approach, suited to top-level athletes as well as artists and rehabilitation patients.

Astrid de Bellefroid has been a professional physiotherapist since 2009. She studied at the Catholic University of Louvain and holds a master's degree in physiotherapy. She completed a dissertation on neurology, and the place of the object in neurological rehabilitation of the upper limb. She also worked in a medical center and in a private practice, in Berlin. She is a specialist in prenatal and postnatal physiotherapy, orthopedics and respiratory physiotherapy. You can find her at the Solilau medical center in Rosières, as well as at her private practice in Lasne.

Benoit is an Osteopath D.O. graduated from the Belgian College of Osteopathy. He practices general osteopathy and pediatric osteopathy. He practices in his office in Rhode-Saint-Genese and in Tervuren. Do not hesitate to call him directly in case of emergency

Qu’est-ce que l’ostéopathie ?

L’ostéopathie est une approche par des techniques essentiellement manuelles, qui vise à stimuler les capacités naturelles d’autoguérison du corps, tout en lui redonnant mobilité, fonction et équilibre.

Elle prend en compte l’ensemble des systèmes : neurologique, musculo-squelettique, vasculaire, tissulaire, viscéral,… qui peuvent être liés aux symptômes se manifestant parfois loin de la zone incriminée et cherche à trouver l’origine plutôt que de juste analyser le symptôme.

Adolescents, adultes ou séniors, sédentaires ou sportifs ayant des pathologies créant des douleurs aigues ou chroniques dans des domaines tels que l’orthopédie, la rhumatologique, les troubles musculo-squelettiques, les problèmes articulaires (nuque/dos/bassin/Membre supérieur/membre inférieur), les douleurs chroniques, etc ...

Diplômée d'un master en ostéopathie à l'Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), après un diplôme de kinésithérapie et réadaptation obtenu à l'UCLouvain, ce parcours me confère une démarche à la fois médicale et scientifique.

Mon approche se concentre sur les troubles musculo-squelettiques variés : douleurs du dos (lombalgie, lumbago, torticolis, douleurs thoraciques et costales, ...), troubles articulaires et musculaires, ainsi que certains troubles neurologiques périphériques.

Mon objectif est de vous aider à retrouver confort et mobilité, en plaçant votre bien-être au centre du traitement.

My outgoing, caring and passionate personality resonates with the philosophy of osteopathy which I decided to study for the human contact and the help to others through a hollistic approach to understand the origin of problems, to treat them and to avoid possible chronic injuries. Osteopathy, an alternative and traditional medicine, is a primary health care discipline and is therefore partially refunded by the mutual insurance company. I graduated in July 2022 from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in England and had the opportunity to study the human body and practice for 4 years. My training in England allowed me to learn the 3 bases of osteopathy such as the structural, the functional and the visceral and to put it into practice at the school's clinic where I was able to treat my patients for 2 years with supervision. These 1300 hours of clinical practice allowed me to acquire a wide range of techniques such as: articular, cranial, cranio-sacral, facial, myotensive, visceral, etc.. During my last year of master, I had the chance to specialise in pediatrics, perinatal and sports medicine. I had the exceptional opportunity to treat babies as young as a few weeks old, children and teenagers, pregnant women and post-partum, athletes and elderly people. Charline van Wessem is a licensed physical therapist who graduated from ISEK in 2018. She is specialized in Sports Physiotherapy and Adult Neurology. She also offers care in general physiotherapy, pre/post natal, orthopedic senology, rheumatology, geriatrics,... . She currently works in private practice in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert and at the CHU Brugmann (Maternity, multidisciplinary ambulatory consultations in Neurology). Sessions can be held in French or in English.
