I am approved, you can make an appointment by telephone for the office or at home. I treat musculoskeletal pathologies, respiratory and neurological physiotherapy, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

As a general physiotherapist, I treat musculoskeletal pain (cervical, back, hand, wrist as well as hip, knee or ankle problems). I also treat low back pain. I receive my patients in Brussels at the Medical Center Europe-Schuman on Mondays and Wednesdays and at the Ambiorix21 Center (Square Ambiorix21 1000 Brussels) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Diplômé en kinésithérapie générale en 2022, j'ai poursuivi ma formation par un master de spécialisation en douleurs musculo-squelettiques à l’Université catholique de Louvain, ce qui m’a permis de développer une expertise approfondie dans l’évaluation et la prise en charge des troubles musculo-squelettiques. 

J’ai également approfondi mes compétences grâce à une formation organisée par l’Université de Montréal sur le raisonnement clinique me donnant les outils nécessaires pour analyser de manière rigoureuse chaque problématique. J'accorde donc une importance capitale au bilan clinique réalisé lors de la première séance !

Je suis spécialisé plus particulièrement dans les douleurs du dos, des hanches et des genoux, ainsi que dans la rééducation des blessures sportive.

Mon approche combine des techniques manuelles, des exercices spécifiques et de l'éducation thérapeutique, afin de soulager la douleur, restaurer la fonction et éviter les récidives.

Sportif amateur, j’ai pratiqué différents sports tels que la course à pied, le beach-volley, le football, la natation et le tennis.

Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor. He also practiced at the osteoarticular center of the Antoine Depage Clinic where he gained the trust of several patients. Today, physiotherapist Michel Schoonjans welcomes you in his own practice in Uccle. You can also find him at City Clinic in the city of Ixelles. Pour assurer une prise en charge régulière et éviter les délais d’attente, il est conseillé de planifier directement deux séances (ou plus) à l’avance.
