Thanks to this training, I can more easily accompany mothers in their choice to breastfeed but also in the support or advice they need in case of problems. It is also not uncommon to meet with parents before the baby is born to help them make their decision and answer their many questions. The practice of general pediatrics offers a wide range of problems that can be encountered with children: minor childhood illnesses, bedwetting, obesity, allergies, constipation, .... Even if the child is not yet able to speak, the child remains the focus of the consultation. Nevertheless, I attach great importance to the parents' feelings because they are the ones who know their child best. In addition to my experience as a pediatrician, I am also a mother of four children, including twins. This experience helps me to improve my daily medical practice. In May 2017, I was hired by Iris Sud Hospitals to start and promote the pediatric consultation at Joseph Bracops Hospital. Although ambitious, this project quickly seduced me, as the Bracops hospital is located in the heart of Anderlecht, in an area with many families and an obvious demand for pediatric care. Thanks to this local care offer, the number of patients attending the consultation is constantly increasing.
