Mais attention, aux premiers stades de l'insuffisance rénale chronique, vous pouvez présenter peu de signes ou de symptômes. Il se peut que vous ne vous rendiez compte de votre maladie rénale qu'à un stade avancé. Les calculs rénaux dont les synonymes sont les pierres aux reins, la lithiase rénales ou la néphrolithiase sont douloureux. En effet, ils sont associés à un risque accru de maladie rénale chronique, d'hypertension artérielle voir le défaut de la minéralisation de vos os. L'incidence des calculs rénaux augmente chez les adultes plus femmes que les hommes et les enfants, bien que les raisons de cette augmentation ne soient pas claires.
