Je suis kinésithérapeute depuis octobre 2023 et j’exerce en cabinet avec une pratique axée sur la kinésithérapie générale.

En parallèle, je me spécialise en rééducation oro-maxillo-faciale et vestivulo-occulaire, un domaine qui me passionne et que je continue d’explorer pour enrichir ma prise en charge.

J’ai à cœur de proposer des soins personnalisés, adaptés à chaque patient, avec une approche globale, attentive et engagée.

Je me présente en tant que kinésithérapeute diplômé de l'Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) depuis 2022. Passionné par mon métier, je mets tout en œuvre pour offrir à mes patients des soins de qualité, adaptés à leurs besoins spécifiques. Mon approche est basée sur l'écoute, le respect et la bienveillance, afin d'assurer un suivi personnalisé et optimal. Fort de mes connaissances et toujours en quête de perfectionnement, je m'engage à utiliser les techniques les plus efficaces pour favoriser la rééducation et améliorer le bien-être de chacun. Graduated with a master in physiotherapy from the Leonardo da Vinci / Parnasse-Isei high school, the physiotherapist Melanie Van Wassenhove practices at the Take'in Care paramedical center (brusselsesteenweg 159, 3080 Tervuren) and also does home visits on request of her patients. Her qualities and skills allow her to take care of sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, back pain, joint pain, neurological and respiratory pathologies in children. Graduated from HELB in 2014, I am specialized in sports physiotherapy and manual therapy I am also certified from the runner's clinic. I take care of sports and musculoskeletal pathologies in general. I take care of consultations at the Total Physio office based at 57 Rue de Baron de Castro, Etterbeek 1040. I am open on Mondays from 2pm to 8:30pm, Tuesdays from 12:30pm to 2pm, Wednesdays from 2pm to 8:30pm, Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm and also on Fridays from 12:30pm to 2pm.

I worked for 3 years in Portugal as a physiotherapist and I used that time to invest as much as I could in courses so that I could provide quality treatments to my patients. 

My main goal is to continue investing in gaining more and more knowledge so that I can apply it in my clinical practice. I'm a big fan of quality treatments and good follow-up with patients. That makes all the difference to the patient's progress.

I'm very involved in the musculoskeletal area and for this reason I treat pathologies such as back, shoulder, elbow, knee pain, I work a lot on post-operative rehabilitation and also with tendonitis, bursitis and calcifications.

I love doing treatments that involve acupuncture because I really like the quick and long-lasting results, and acupuncture allows me to do that. That's why I really enjoy combining my knowledge of physiotherapy with my knowledge of acupuncture (traditional Chinese medicine).

Depuis toujours lié au corps, en premier temps en tant que Préparateur Physique dans différents domaines, puis du côté des soins de santé avec une vision du "corps en mouvement" (on est fait pour bouger).

Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996.
