En tant que pédicure spécialisée, je réalise une anamnèse du patient et de ses antécédents, j’examine le pied de façon à pouvoir déterminer les soins à apporter au patient.

Toute intervention commence par la désinfection du pied. Ensuite, selon les besoins, je réalise les soins d’hygiène et d’entretien courant des ongles (couper, tailler, limer, polir, désépaissir l’ongle, poncer les talons, éliminer les peaux mortes). Je soigne également les lésions bénignes du pied (durillons, cors, crevasses, ongles incarnés, etc.).

• Je possède d’excellente connaissances en anatomie des pieds et des affections qui les concernent.
• Je réalise un examen clinique du pied à traiter.
• J’utilise des produits spécifiques et adaptés (huiles, cires, etc.).
• Je me sers d’instruments adaptés (ciseaux, pinces, râpes, etc.).
• Je stérilise les instruments et le matériel.
• Je connais les limites de mon champ d’action et au besoin, je vous redirige vers un médecin ou un podologue.

Graduated in podiatry from the Haute École Léonard de Vinci – Parnasse, I follow a therapeutic approach centered on the patient (medical-psycho-social). I practice podiatric care as well as walking and running analyses. My goal is to prevent and cure podiatric pathologies (ingrown nails, warts, tendinitis, knee pain, etc.). To better understand the health aspect, I also did a master's degree in public health at UCL which gives me added value in my job, allowing me to be more attentive to my patients. Podiatry is a paramedical profession based mainly on the study of the foot, but also the analysis of the whole human body, in its posture and in movement. It is often when pain occurs in the feet and ankles that patients turn to a podiatrist. My field of competence includes podiatry in care, as well as biomechanics, in order to carry out a morphostatic and dynamic examination (walking/running) of the patient and if necessary to consider the making of a pair of functional podiatric or posturologic insoles.
