Curious to understand the functioning of the human body and passionate about manual medicine, I completed a 6-year course at the Université Libre de Bruxelles before obtaining my osteopathic diploma. Today, I consult in several multidisciplinary practices in Brussels where I ensure a precise, gentle and patient-friendly treatment. As an osteopath, and in a general way, I am interested in musculo-articular pains as well as in their relief by the hand and by the movement. I am particularly interested in the treatment of pregnant women, the jaw joint and its relationship with the cervical spine, and acute situations such as torticollis or lumbago.

There is no pain whose cause is obvious and immediately attributable to a localized dysfunction. Often the origin of the pain is to be found in areas other than those affected. For example, a common backache may result from excessive fatigue in the foot or a malfunctioning jaw. Similarly, would you ever have imagined that overloading the intestines can induce headaches? Our body is a machine with complex gears and countless transmission belts. Being able to find the right key to interpret when the warning light of pain turns on, identifying its origin, looking at the patient in all his complexity, and being able to guarantee him lasting benefit are the greatest satisfaction that this work can give me.

Alicia Absil is an osteopath with several experiences. She specializes in adult osteopathy as well as pediatric osteopathy after graduating with a double master's degree in Motor Sciences in 2016 and a Master's degree in Osteopathy in 2017. Margaux Belhocine is an osteopath at the Permanence Ostéopathique Bruxelles XCI (Chaussée de Waterloo628) in Ixelles. She welcomes you from Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and on Saturday from 8am to 1pm by appointment. Holder of a diploma in cupping medicine and a diploma in Kinesiotaping, she takes care of infants, children and adults, but also pregnant women and athletes. She also accepts emergencies.

Osteopath Alice Ducarme graduated in 2013 from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve with a degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. She will finish her Osteopathy studies at the IAO (The International Academy Of Osteopathy) in January 2021. She receives her patients in consultation at the Ducarme-Gustin practice in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert every Monday, Tuesday morning, Thursday and Friday morning. My outgoing, caring and passionate personality resonates with the philosophy of osteopathy which I decided to study for the human contact and the help to others through a hollistic approach to understand the origin of problems, to treat them and to avoid possible chronic injuries. Osteopathy, an alternative and traditional medicine, is a primary health care discipline and is therefore partially refunded by the mutual insurance company. I graduated in July 2022 from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in England and had the opportunity to study the human body and practice for 4 years. My training in England allowed me to learn the 3 bases of osteopathy such as the structural, the functional and the visceral and to put it into practice at the school's clinic where I was able to treat my patients for 2 years with supervision. These 1300 hours of clinical practice allowed me to acquire a wide range of techniques such as: articular, cranial, cranio-sacral, facial, myotensive, visceral, etc.. During my last year of master, I had the chance to specialise in pediatrics, perinatal and sports medicine. I had the exceptional opportunity to treat babies as young as a few weeks old, children and teenagers, pregnant women and post-partum, athletes and elderly people.
