Should I worry about my 2-year-old premature baby's 9.5 kg weight?

My baby is premature. She is 2 years and 1 month now. She is only 9.5 kilos but perfect in other areas. Talking walking and other things. She eats well and poos well too. Should I be worried with her weight?

  • The weight is only one parameter- other factors are important. One of them is the curve of the weight.

  • Hello,
It all depends of the evolution of her weight, her neurological development and birth weight. I prefer to have a look at it in my practice with her health booklet in order to be able to judge it professionally.

  • I think that like every child should be checked minimally twice a year. maybe for you is healthy, maybe for a doctors eye there is something. And the weight should be judged accordingly to the height and head circumference.
